Christmas Fairies

They twinkle about so fast…no one has ever seen more than a flash of sparkle…but they exist.

Christmas Fairy Skirts

Filed under: Crafts, Fairy Musings — Ginger on September 7, 2009 @ 9:54 am

Here’s a cute little fairy skirt from over at Hand Made by Madam Salami  Now what I’m thinking is they would look oh so cute made up with red and green tulle and scraps of Christmas fabic. I’m not sure about the waist band….hmmm maybe elastic circle. Anyway all you crafty people check it out and see….I think they would look adorable on a little girl at Christmas….or what the heck…….even a big girl.

Christmas Fairy Houses

Filed under: Crafts, Fairy Musings — Ginger on September 5, 2009 @ 9:37 pm

These delightful fairy houses are featured over at Filth Wizardry. There are lots more pictures over there, as well as, a way to make fairy wings and add them any plastic dolls you already have on hand. As you can see from the picture above these houses were made from recycled jugs of different kinds…with doors and windows cut out and then markers or puffy paint used to decorate, along with some stickers.

I’m think these would be awesome as CHRISTMAS FAIRY houses…just decorated with Christmas colors and stickers…!!! Can’t wait to give it a try..

Isn’t this the cutest little fairy with Santa’s cookies?  This is one of the kitchen fairy collection and I have discovered they have a whole line of holiday ones. I do not have a single one….sigh….another wish list!!! You can look closer or purchase this fairy at Abbeypress.

Fairies Everywhere

Filed under: Fairy Musings — Ginger on September 4, 2009 @ 5:22 pm

It’s been a long time since I started this blog/site and I’ve left it out in the cold for too long…the Christmas Fairies are coming back to the spirit of Christmas. I had originally intended to set this up as a site with different pages for the stories and other activities and this page would remain static…with links to the pages in the sidebar. But since then I have changed my mind and plan on letting the site unfold like any other blog with postings appearing here on the main page. We will still feature our “pages” in the side bar that pertain to certain topics or house goodies that we don’t want to get lost in the ongoing process of blogging.

So WELCOME once again to the Christmas Fairies site and a new vision!!! I can hear them humming and buzzing around as they flutter in excitement!! Stop back often for new tidbits of fairy fun!

Magical Holiday Home blog for a special tradition:

Fairy1.gif Fairy 1 picture by gschenck

The Magic of  Christmas Fairies is your gateway to a fun new family tradition that can carry the magic of Christmas throughout the year.  The Christmas Fairies stories are designed to be read aloud and weave the tales of five fairies:  Snowflake, Snow, Merry, Holly, and Twinkle, along with a few other Christmas friends. Please note that you may print the stories for your own personal use only but make sure your copy retains the copyright information listed at the bottom of each story

Meet the Christmas Fairies:

There are thousands of Christmas Fairies but here are the main ones that you will grow to know and love. Each has her own distinct personality,

Snowflake:  Is one of the leaders of the group. She is fast, funny, and has a snappy imagination. She is very adventurous and has traveled around the world multiple times. She is friendly and forgiving but she doesn’t let anyone walk all over her.

Star:  She is Snowflakes best friend, although they do have falling outs here and there. She is a little snappy and not always as agreeable as her friends would like. But she has a  heart of gold and will fight for her friends until the very end.

Merry:…… is just that….merry…and a bit naive, she has only traveled around a bit, preferring to stay in Fairy Forest at the North Pole. Her friends are encouraging her to get out more. She is quiet and shy and doesn’t like conflict at all.

Holly: Is good friends with Merry. She comes from a long lost fairy family and so feels a bit out of place in the fairy world right now. She loves being part of the group but prefers not to be the leader. She often has a hard time making decisions and is easily led astray.

Twinkle: Is a super fast fairy as her name implies and has won the Fairy Flicker Festival Races three years in a row. She is very brave and seldom backs down from a confrontation. But she is also very fair minded and doesn’t go looking for trouble.
