how did/does your elf arriver each year?

mine comes the day after Thanksgiving and how varries. Sometimes it's during the diay, once they showed up when we were out, once in a box on the front porch, another time that night doing what they do best. getting into trouble. The first night though, they always leave sticky notes w/ notes all over the house.
