I follow the Holiday Houseworks Plan, but last year found there were certain things which didn't fit in with my lifestyle so for Christmas 2008 I tweaked the plan to suit my home and my lifestyle. There were still things which didn't work for me so I have made further changes to implement for 2009. I have made a file on my computer so that it's easy to alter things and I will print out a copy for my notebook, this makes it easier to follow.
My decorations are stored by room and I have an inventory of what is in each box. I also have a plan of where everything will go, which is tweaked a little each year.
