Crafters Chalenge February 16th-22nd

Hello Crafters!!!

Lucie, the ornaments are cute!

Today is my nieces 11th birthday party. When I asked her what she wanted she said surprise me------!!! GREAT (not) but then yesterday I kept trying to think of something to make so last night about 7 or so I decided on a few things to try. I made 2 book marks, a headband and a small Japanese Knot purse. The purse reverses. The only problem I had but it still works-is when you turn it all the interfacing I put between each side is all on one side. Not sure how to fix that with the next one. Was up till after midnight. I have to sew the handles together yet on the bag. I would like to run by a store before the party and get some lotion, maybe chap stick, polish and polish remover ---something along the lines to put in the bag with alittle money.

I really liked making all 3 items--they were fun.

This week is still------crocheting. Will work on some today at the party. Have 2 to go and 1/2 of the one I am working on.

I need to start on a quiet book--so many pages to choose from will take me awhile to do one. Jampss did one last year. Does it get used a lot?

Make Your Own Non Skid Socks
you need
cotton socks
cardboard
pencil
nontoxic 3 dimensional fabric paint..
Prewash and dry new socks, but do not use fabric softener...place cardboard in sock to keep the sock flat to decorate.
Let them dry overnight then remove the cardboard, and wait 3 days to machine wash, read label on paint for temp to use...
You could draw rats or spiders or stars...snowflakes...

I was thinking of making a quiet book for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. She sits up in the worship for a bit before her class starts, ddil said it would be helpful. There are so many ideas on pinterest I am having a hard time knowing what pages I want. I have tomorrow off so may just make that list of pages along with a shopping list. Her birthday is at the end of April so need to start working on it.

Finished 2 scarfs today. 1/2 of one, whole one and then 1/2 done on my last one. Gave one to Michelle that I did while at the party.

Picked out the pages I will do for dgd's quiet book. Need to make a list of supplies and purchase. Thinking of taking it to mom's when I visit in a couple of weeks. She can work on her quilt and I can work on my book.

Still working on my rugs.
Tidied out the craft cupboard and realize that I have a lot of projects to do.
Trying to get the house organized for the winter, I like to make the house a comfy as I can.

I made 2 lovies (minky backed taggie blankets) and shipped them along with2 previously made to a cousin of a friend... she just had quads! 3 boys 1 girl and they have 2older girls.

I also got an order for a dozen burp cloths so I have completed 5of those so far.
