Crafter's Challenge December 3rd---December 9th, 2023

After I got the birthday card done that is what I did. My crafting room was a big mess. At least now it’s cleaned up and ready to go in the new year.Cleaning up craft room again
Will be working on my socks this week.
My room is a mess too. I’ve been pulling fabric and need to put back what I’m not using.
Have gone as far as a can with the ornaments. May run to hobby lobby Monday to look for some embellishments. Not real crazy about what I found at Joann’s. Hope the rest of the fabric comes Monday.
Started cutting out a quilt. Working with just what I have in my stash so it’s pretty scrappy.
And trying to figure out at pattern to use some directional fabric for a quilted tablecloth. Most likely will need to buy some dark green fairy frost for that.

Fairy frost looks like a frosted window pane. They come plain or variegated with gold or silver glitter in them. It’s great fabric to work with and comes in a bunch of colors. I tried to take a decent picture but doesn’t do them justice.

So unhappy right now. My missing fabric order was not shipped until Saturday and apparently was sent by regular mail and no tracking. Have not a clue how that is considered expedited. They did refund all my money, as well they should. I am disappointed. I guess I’ll give my cousin the one that is finished and mail the other when ever my order arrives. This week is the only time I’ll see her before Christmas.

Finished the one sock and have the toe increases done on the second sock.
Need to start on card ideas for January birthday cards needing two for two men. Actually while I’m at it I should also come up with ideas for two male cards for February as well.

DD31 would like a Christmas doily. So, I’m making that so I can mail it with a box of little goodies next week.

I've been making good progress on one of my UFO BOM quilts. I have one more row to quilt (I'm doing quilt-as-you-go and quilting on my embroidery machine). I'm not sure if I can get that done today. I have more Christmas decorating to do, but I've been proCRAFTinating!

Still need to finish DD's scarf, but I've made good progress. Probably another 10-15 rows to finish, maybe a couple of hours. I also completed 3 coasters and have a 4th almost done. Would love to make another flower pot cover, since I've added a couple of houseplants to my living room, but that will have to wait. Not something I'll stress about.

Finished the 15 right facing bird blocks. I have to cut more background fabric for the 15 left facing. You have to calculate how much to cut for the quilt. The directions only tell you for one block which is odd. Anyways my vertigo started acting up. No time for me to be using a rotary cutter so I called it a day.
