First of October down!

At the end of this weeks challenge I will be on a week vacation.

Glad to see some new posters join us!!!!

The 12 Days of Christmas Swap I talk about is on the HGTV forums under Quilting and needlework.

This week will be finishing up any more scarfs I think I need for people for Christmas gifts and then maybe see about stuff to make for Jaymee and Nugget (her name before they knew the sex). Not sure if I will do stuff for the shower or just in general and give to her.

What is everybody else working on?

Heritage Project for Christmas Gifts

The heritage project I'd like to complete this year is something I didn't finish from a few years ago. I need to print off photos of our family member's who were in the military. I have frameless glass frames to mount them in. Very simple project, just one I keep putting off. I want all the photos to be the same color/shade and for the longest time I didn't know how to get them to all look alike. Now I think I've figured it out.

Next project would be to make a album of my mother's photos. Not all of them but some to highlight each decade of her life for each family member and include a CD of all the photos I have of her. I need to scan all the photos. Another project I keep putting off.

Hey everyone! You all look like you are busy with your projects. I love seeing the lists each week.

I have started working on hooded towels this week. Last week I finished embroidering flour sack towels with fall and Christmas designs. I haven't taken a picture, but will soon so I can show you.

I'm getting together with a few friends from my old knitting group this morning. I haven't seen them in a while and they have started a new group, so I am going to join them. We used to knit together once a week, but a couple of years ago the knitting shop where we met closed. Now they get together at another lady's home. I'm looking forward to catching up with them. It's nice to have a different circle of friends.

Have a great week!

Oh! That sounds so sweet and peaceful! (This coming from a 50 year old mommy of a DS10!! LOL I do love my crocheting ... when I can get off in a quiet room every now and again)

Love everyone's posts! :)

I'm still working on the little peg people I'm painting and "dressing" in felt to make little knights and dragons to go with the castle set I made.

Honestly, making progress on that this week is all I can hope for.

Things continue to be utterly crazy with our house situation. Constantly being pulled away from our routine for one reason or another. Which is something that is probably not going to change until the house is built and we're moved back in again.

We've hit a pretty major snag and may not be home before Christmas as I'd hoped. :(

But we'll see...in the meantime I'll turn to as much crafting therapy as possible!

We have a Chicken BBQ coming up to support JV and Varsity Softball and Ladies Basketball at the end of this month and I have been asked to donate two fleece blankets for raffle so went to check out fleece and found Syracuse fleece so now I got to make three blankets. One Softball, One basketball and now one S.U. for David for his birthday at the end of the month. Will pick up fleece this weekend when its on sale and have coupons.

AuntJ, sounds like a very cute sale!

Kim, so nice of you to do!!! Gotta love the coupons!

Jampss, quite a list. Nice items listed.

Princess_Christmas, that will be nice for the nieces. And a clean room will be nice and will produce more work when things can be found!!!

Diedra, that book of your mom would be precious! Great ideal!

Off today but worked on shower stuff with Jaymee.

Got the fleece to make the two blankets for the fundraiser but going to wait on the Syracuse fleece for David because I know that the day after Thanksgiving Joanne's will have it 50% off they always do. So it will be a Christmas gift for him. While we were there Kayla found pink camo that she wants a blanket made from. She is beginning to sound like my 5 yr old niece that needs a new blanket every year.

Got yarn for two scarfs one for Kayla and I think the other for Randa or Kali. Kayla picked up geo mesh to make a fall wreath for her grandmother she has been watching video's on youtube since Tuesday when we seen wreaths in Walmart her grandmother liked so will help her work on that too.
