Is anybody following this plan this year? I thought I'd get it started since I didnt' see it anywhere else! Here's my list!

( :!: )()()()()()()Spend 15 minutes a day getting organized for fall.
( :!: )Set up Halloween/Autumn planner in notebook. I already have one...will probably spend some time making it nice.
( :!: )Print a home spruce-up worksheet and complete it. I'm following the HGP so I think that counts! :-D

Wow...that was easy! We're not hosting a party this year (although I am seriously considering having one next year) so nothing to do there!

Here's the link for the whole list for week 1.

I'm in!!! :jack:

One of our grandsons was born on Halloween...he'll be one this year! His birthday party will be at our house, so I have the Halloween Countdown printed out and have started working on it. I already had a Halloween Notebook made up and have gone through and updated it for this year.

I can not believe how much Halloween stuff they have available in the stores...kind of SCARY! :rotflol:

Glad someone has started this thread, I'd forgotten that is started on 21st. I'll take a look at the plan and write myself a list. Will check in again later.

I'm not having a party or anything, so no need to worry about all those sections. The only thing I really need to do is decide when we'll go to the pumpkin patch and get our pumpkins. I also have some more work to do on the yard, but have to visit the store first.

We are having a party! I've been working on it, but I've still got a good bit to do yet. I have set up a party section in my notebook and I have a list of things to do for it written on my day planner, but I haven't looked at it yet this morning. I am on a break from working right now (working at home today..not sure I'm disciplined enough to do that, but we'll see how it goes!), so on my next break I'll look and see what I need to get done and post it. :ghost:

:boo: Our party is on October 25, so we're just a bit over a month away!! Whoo hoo...I think!! :hat:

Thanks for starting this thread Liltattoo. I'm not hosting any Halloween parties either. That's my bestfriend and her husband's gig. She had to remind me that the countdown started. I had completely forgotten. Any way, I will be helping out when needed and will report our progress. I gave her the Halloween countdown calendar I bought from Avon yesterday and she immediately hung it up on her kitchen door.

To Do This Week:

[ :boo: ] Plan on spending a short amount of time each day thinking and planning for fall and the activites that occur during the autumn months. Sunday we took the kids to go apple picking.

[ :boo: ] Set up a Halloween/Autumn planner in a notebook or binder. Or create a section in your seasonal planner for Halloween. I made her book as a Christmas gift last year.

[ :boo: ] Create a cover and spine for your notebook, Scrap photos from past Halloweens or search magazines for lovely autumn pictures to use. Add section dividers and you are all ready!

[ :boo: ] Make or find a planning calendar. For the Halloween Planner you will need the months of September and October. If you are creating a Autumn Planner you will need September -November since you may include Thanksgiving in this planner.

[ :boo: ] Copy, paste and print each of the weekly lists or you may access printable versions through the link listed at the end of each week. You may file these behind your calendars in the notebook or perhaps you prefer to create six sections and place each one behind the correct section.

[ ] Autumn traditions: Spend a bit of time thinking about fun autumn traditions. Which ones have you enjoyed in the past? What are some new ones you would like to add?

[ :boo: ] Planning a Halloween or autumn party? Create or print some party planner pages to use as you begin planning the event. Or make simple lists for guests, menu, shopping list, game list, and decorations to make or buy.

[ ] Once you have your guest list started, locate addresses and copy or print them. File them in your notebook.

[ ] Pumpkin Patch visit: Look at the calendar and jot down a date for this wonderful fall activity. We were discussing this Saturday. I will need to check around the area to see when and where they are this year.

[ :boo: ] Pick the date for your party and get it on the calendar also. The party will be on Halloween.

I need to work on my calendar for October... write all the fall festival dates in and halloween parties we are invited to (I think I have 2 maybe 3 on my list already).

I also need to find a fun place to go and look at the fall colors (not too far due to gas prices).

The only thing I have on my list for this week is to make the Spirit Jugs that Ginger has linked to the Halloween countdown on the front page. I made some last year, but they have "magically" disappeared!

So, my project is to save milk jugs (at the rate of two gallons fo milk per week around here, shouldn't be a problem!!)
to get started this weekend.

I am also working on other aspects of the party, but you can check out my posts over in Great Pumpkin Day on my Boo!Bash2 journal.

Thanks so much for getting this thread started....I need to spring into action or my Boo Bash will be here and I will be unprepared...

Hopefully things are settling down here at home and can be here a bit more in the coming weeks. I do check in every day but do not always get time to post.
