It's the week before Christmas and even though I have worked hard all year it will still be a really busy week.
I am so glad that I am prepared and that the week ahead although busy will be relatively calm.
Here is my to do list for this week

Water throughout day,
Shower/bath at night,
Moisturise,
Brush teeth,
Lip balm,
Hand cream,
Clean kitchen and DW on before bed.
Read and sleep at reasonable time.

Weekly:

*fold washing ( )
*vacuum floors ( )
*mop floors ( )
*clean bathrooms (X)( )
*meal plan dinners plus work lunches ( ) Look at pantry freezers for inspiration/ideas.
*clean fridge (X)
*tidy pantry ( )
*tidy freezer ( )
*tidy stockpile ( )
*general tidy up (X)
*shopping list (fortnightly) ( ) grocery shopping (fortnightly) ( )
*make work lunches for Friday ( )

Fun/ Christmas prep:
*start/continue/finish one craft project ( )
*start/continue/finish one book/magazine ( ) Goal for the year is to read 10, I have read 22
*update planner (X)
*tidy gift closet (X)
*continue looking for stocking fillers, gifts and supplies (X) A year round project..I have a lot to buy this year so will need to be savvy.

This week:

*Exercise at least 3 days ( )( )( )
*Connect with family via phone, email or text ( )
*Lunch with family Sunday (X)
*Pop into work Tuesday (X)
*Top up groceries Friday ( )
*Help at Mum's on Friday ( )
*DS home fro Christmas Eve Saturday ( )

It will be a week of tying up loose ends for me. I love this week for the anticipation of Christmas. A week from now we'll be finishing up the gift opening. <sniff, sniff>

  • Pay bills
  • Correspondence
  • Appts: Mon. - Afterschool Pick Up;
  • Weekly Cleaning: Vacuum, Dust, Mop, Empty trash cans, Bathrooms
  • Monthly Cleaning: Bedroom
  • Laundry
  • Menu Plan
  • HHP

Agreed Mary, this is one of my favourite weeks of the year and I cannot believe that it is here.
My favourite day of the whole year is December 23rd, the day before the day before Christmas. Still enough time to get things done but ooh so close to Christmas!!

We call that day "Christmas Adam" since the next day is Christmas Eve. My kids got real into the naming the days when they were younger and call Dec. 26th "Christmas Cain." Dec. 27th is called "Christmas Abel." LOL!

Mary, I never have heard of Christmas Adam before. I think I will borrow this.
DH was raised by his Great Grandparents and his Grandfather's name was Adam. I think this is perfect .
