May 2015 Declutter club.

It has taken me all year so far to even start looking at de-cluttering. Better late than never right?

Coming into the cooler months here I find it much easier to pull everything out of cupboards and spread it around than I do in the warmer months. Also I find it a great time to look through everything and decide what needs tossing, replacing.
Any way over the next few weeks while you are all enjoying the warmth and the sunshine I will be holed up decluttering my little home.

While I was putting away coats & boots, got rid of 2 pairs of boots and 1 pair of shoes.

LOTS of decluttering getting done here today. told dd to go through her closet... 2 big bags of clothes to give, 6 pairs of shoes in the garbage and 1 to give, lots of costume jewelry, stuffed toys, books are being given away.... I am tired and I'm just going through what she takes out.

I have a huge ottoman that I'd like to take to DS. That would clear up some space in the living room.DD and I decluttered a box of weeds in the backyard flower garden.

Lucie, a lot of crafts are made with the costume jewelry. DD doing a good job!

I am sorting out the family room. I went through the bookcase yesterday and got rid of a few books. Our family loves books so it is always hard to donate any. Also went through the small cupboard where I keep candles and the like. I have a real hard time burning some candles, they are just so pretty. Very odd.
Today will be the linen cupboard and my desk.

One patio table and umbrella and ds's workdesk will be dumped at the eco-center wednesday

DS got rid of a BIG armload of papers while clearing his desk.

Finished the desk in the family room. Shredded a pile of papers and put the rest in the files where they belong.
Linen cupboard done, put a few old towels in the rag bag and have written new towels on the shopping list.
This week I hope to work on the kids bathroom and tidy and declutter it.

Katrinia, you are moving along good with your cooler weather.

Lucie, I think you always do good moving stuff out.

I get on and off board so often---nothing ever really gets done.

I do not think that I will get to the kids bathroom this week. The week has gone by too quickly and I only have tomorrow and then work Thursday and Friday. I will move onto the kids bathroom next week.
I really must clean out the spice cupboard. I have many jars of spices in there that I have bought for a recipes and not used again. Grrrr, it really is a mess.

Sent 2 big bags of stuff to mom's on the last day of May.

DD was here this weekend so she went through the 2 plastic tubs of stuff that was in her work desk. she threw away or gave more than 80% of the stuff so I'm very glad. the 2 tubs are now empty.

... on to June!
