There are several old favorites I have that are still on VHS....I really need to finish converting to DVDs....cause I hate the old tapes...yikes!! By the time I convert...they will have something new out...

Happy2bme I like your idea of growing your holiday movie collection by buying a movie each month.

Love this! I don't have tons of movies, and there are more than several that I want to add to my collection...great idea!

Our holiday house in North Idaho
My 2010 Rudolph Day plans, I have figured out that without something solid written down, it just won't happen!

Jan. Christmas Notebook organized/Budget planned
Feb. Organize tearfiles/ideas to implement
Mar. Crafting/finish holiday house sewing (curtains etc.)
Apr. Crafting/2010 theme ornaments
May Crafting/gift focus
June Crafting/window mirror/bulletin boards for oldest daughters
July Organize outside decos./repaint, make something new?
Aug. Menu planning/recipe organizing
Sept. Gift & stocking stuffer lists made/ Open house party plan??
Oct. Outside lights up (move to weekend after halloween?)
Nov. Christmas letter & cards
Dec. CELEBRATE

At this point this seems quite doable, we shall see as life progresses...

Music, of course!

I think I will concentrate on checking out some of the vast selections from Christmas music that I added to the collection this year on each Rudolph Day, January through October. I must have downloaded over a hundred hours of out of print Christmas records shared out by several alumni of www.FaLaLaLaLa.com.

I hope to be getting back into Merry Christmas Radio with a new ‘Mistletoe Mix’ show per quarter. Of course I’ll be spinning some of the tunes I sample! If I can coordinate with the program director, a new show will debut on Rudolph Day in January, April, July, and October.

So much inspiration here! It'll take me UNTIL January's Rudolph day to get the ole notebook organized, but my plan for 2010 will be to actually take advantage of Rudolph day to get some things done..love the ideas here!

i LOVE IT that this thread is chugging busily through January! There is a lot of enthusiasm here -- for keeping Christmas ideals as organizing principles -- throughout 2010!

I have not yet gotten to the Christmas Notebook. Ds#1 will be here through Monday...... so I certainly will not get to it until after Monday. O course, we are viewing his visit as a continuation of Christmas 2009.

Rudy Days 2010 - My Preliminary Plan

Jan - debrief family, clean out NB and organize new tear files from 2009 magazines. Start family photo calendar for next year.
Feb - Make gift lists, budget, etc.
Mar - start planning CiJ boxes, print out forms, etc.
Apr - Plan Magic Elves activities
May - Menu/baking planning
Jun - Plan/start gifts from the boys
Jul - CiJ!!!! Mail CiJ boxes. Watch tons of Christmas movies, listen to Christmas music (even in the car) all month long!

Of course, to each month I should add Watch 1 Christmas movie (at least). I like the idea someone posted about wearing Christmas socks on Rudy Days, too!

I'll keep working on this. thanks for the inspiration!
