Winter is winding up. There are a brief couple of weeks left. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with the calendar! This week's recipe is Hamburger Soup. It comes courtesy of Cathymac!

Cathy writes:
Here's a tried and true recipe that we enjoy in the cooler weather.

Hamburger Soup

1 1/2- 2 pounds ground beef, browned
1 large can crushed tomatoes
2 cans mixed vegetables (you can also use the frozen ones)
1 large or 2 small beef bouillion cubes, or a box of beef broth
pinch of salt (or to taste)
pinch of pepper(to taste)

Put the browned ground beef in a crock pot or in a pot on the stove. Add the tomatoes and a tomato can of water. Add canned veggies and beef broth/bouillion. If you are using the cubes, you'll need to add another tomato can or two of water. Stir, then add the salt and pepper. Let it simmer until heated through. If you put it in the crock pot, turn it on low and let it simmer all day. If you're in a hurry and do it on the stove, it's less than 30 minutes from start to finish.

Enjoy!
