It is the first week of what I am hoping will be an absolutely stellar year.
I do suffer terribly with the post Christmas blues and the fact that we have another year behind us. Time is certainly marching on way too quickly and I always feel very melancholy for the first few weeks after Christmas. but I love the newness and fresh slate of it all.
I have said before that I am a person that craves routine. I like my everyday life with just a little interest thrown in. These list remain mostly unchanged week to week, month to month but that is exactly what I like. How I do things is not everyone's cup of tea but it makes me feel secure, I don't do well with chaos. I also use these weekly postings as a journal of sorts, a reminder of events or occasions that have occurred through the year.
Let's set some goals and challenges and be our best selves as we welcome 2023

The sandwiches were in the crockpot.
1 cup of soft margarine
3 T poppy seeds
2 T finely chopped onion
12 hamburger buns or French rolls
1 lb. ground ham or 12 slices of ham
1/2 lbs. swiss cheese or 12 slices I use muenster cheese

Mix margarine, poppy seeds and onion. Spread on buns or rolls. Put ham and cheese on. Wrap in foil (individually). Bake for 30 minutes at 300*.
Can make ahead and freeze without baking until later.

I get 2 of the Lunch Mate family size ham and the cheese slices from Aldi and rolls from Walmart 24 for around $5.
We pull them from the freezer and put them in the crockpot on warm and they are ready when we get home.

This week my focus will be getting back to routine of going back to work. I do have some personal habits i'm trying to develop:

* Drink 48oz of water daily
* Begin some exercise: recumbent bike or stretching
* Journal at least 3 times
* Read 30 minutes daily
* Eat at home instead of eating out for dinner
* Take Metamucil and prenatal vitamin with iron daily (to help with bowel issues and iron deficiency- recommended by G.I.)
* Massage appt on Thursday
* Nails on Friday

Favorite Quote right now- “I hope there are days when your coffee tastes like magic, your playlist makes you dance, strangers make you smile, and the night sky touches your soul. I hope there are days when you fall in love with being alive.” ~ Barbara Hampton

I am loving this quote Jess, it's a good one.
