Often, I buy packages of minature candy bars - lots of different kinds. This year -- I bought four BIG packages of lots of kinds of candy. One package has 180 wrapped pieces of various kinds of name-brand candy. The other three packages may have less than that -- but they still have a lot!
I will supplement later in the month with bags of chocolate mini-bars.
We are at a major crossroads for trick-or-treaters and get hundreds of kids. I always say "Take two". And if they are accompanied by parents - I ask them to ttake chocolate bars to the parents. (I remember how cold and tough it is to accompany those litle munchkins!).
I never mind having extra candy. I put it out at parties, in Christmas gifts - it's great!
