Default Tip Top Tip for Today, Friday, July 30

Our own resident hostess supplied this good to remember tip!

July 30, 2010

Today's tip comes from Gingerbug

Ginger writes:

Whenever I find a reasonably priced item...holiday wine, fun dish or whatever...I buy several and save them as hostess gifts. Then no matter where or when we are invited I have something fun to take along as a little treat for the hostess.

************************************************** ************************************************** ****

Thanks, Ginger! Having something readily available is the key here! Ginger, your name has been tossed into my magic hat for the drawing tomorrow! Good luck!

I like to buy a few hostess gifts too. and if they are plates or such I put some homemade food in them to give!

we don't know a lot of people that have open houses or thing we need to bring a gift to but it's a wonderful idea. It's becoming a lost idea to give hostess gifts.

If it's an especially good deal, I'll also buy for co-workers, and to have on hand for unexpected guests. One of my nephews or nieces invariably brings along a stray when they come for our family gathering, and I have learned to be prepared! Last year I started buying a few $5 Starbucks and iTunes gift cards to have on hand, too. They go in MY stocking if not needed for anyone by Christmas Day!

Always great to not scramble at the last minute or be caught with nothing unexpectedly! I too love to give a gift, plate, etc and load it up with goodies!
