Default My 2010 Rudolph Day Focus

I am posting my 2010 Rudolph Day focus....I know we had a similar thread about 2010 Rudolph Days but I wanted a place for us to post (should you care to join me in this adventure) an actual list with one idea or focus for 2010 Rudolph Days....I am choosing a focus because I am going to work on Year Round Holiday Prep (easier on my budget and my sanity) each month...and I am weaving it into my Jump Start January cleaning plan...which will actually run 26 weeks in total...so gets us through about half the year...(so I transgress) I will have a focus for the month and I will make a pledge to do one small thing on Rudolph Day that fits that focus....along with at least one FUN thing too...

January: Christmas Notebook Focus

February: Stocking Stuffer Focus

March: Tear Files Focus (organize, review, etc)

April: Magic Plans: Elves and St. Nick's Day Focus

May: Recipe Focus: Organizing Christmas Recipe Notebook

June: Gift Focus

July: Crafty Focus (Christmas in July stuff)

August: Menu Planning Focus (Cookie Plans, Christmas Eve, Christmas Morn breakfast etc.)

September: Party Planning Focus

October: Gifts 2 Focus

November: Christmas Letter and Cards Focus

December: CELEBRATE!!

I'd love to hear your ideas so post your list....make it simple....and doable...

That's a great plan. You've given me some ideas of how to plan out my goals for 2010.

Hhhmmmmmmmm. Hhmmmmm. (Sounds of thinking going on.) Focus for Rudy Days in 2010..........

Well..... there is that new book by Mic****e Singletary on "Reorganizing Your Finances in 21 Days". I think she is doing support-type things in The Washington Post newspaper during January........ she is a financial columnist for that paper. I think that working with her might help me think about finances for the whole 21 days. (You are supposed to go on a "21 day money diet" too -- and only spend money on absolute essentials during that time.

So -- maybe my January Rudy Day could focus on Christmas spending or budgeting or something. I also want to work on Christmas cards EARLY -- so that could be a January job. Addressing them...... Drinking hot chocolate too. Maybe getting a Christmas book from the library and reading it on Rudy Day.

For February -- well..... we should be well into "Jumpstart January" by our February Rudy Day. So - I should be doing something "organizational" for our February Rudy Day. Working on the Christmas Notebook, I guess. Read another Christmas book. Writing more Christmas cards.

I'll expand this post later to include more months.

Now here's another great post! I'll need to have a think on this and post my plans. I really need to improve my organization this coming year and visiting this site seems to help me with that. Thanks, Ladies!

Wow, love all these ideas ...thanks, y'all!

May I ask what 'tear files' are, please?

jampss- tear files are pages that are torn out of magazines. There's a ton of holiday magazines throughout the year and sometimes we see things we like and want to remember so we tear out the page, hence "tear files".

I think what Ginger meant by Gifts 2 Focus was that she was going to focus on gifts for a second time during the year during that specific month.
