I do usually use the Post Office to ship. Other than trying not to send super heavy items, i.e. big jar candles, canned goods, etc. there is not a whole lot I can say, unfortunately.

I have at times done small boxes that I send express that has only cookies in it and then I send the other boxes with presents by a slower route. This is best done when shipping earlier in the month of December so there is plenty of time to get things there before Christmas.

Another option is stopping by post office to pick up their free priority shipping boxes - then you know for sure what the price will be but you are limited to what you can fit in the boxes.

The folks at our post office are usually pretty good about giving me all the pricing options vs. arrival dates and letting me pick - priority mail usually is the most reasonable however.

Not sure but I imagine UPS or FedEx would be more expensive that US Post - would love to hear input on that from those that may have compared!
