MERRY CHRISTMAS IN JULY!! How will you be celebrating?

I've got a post up about hot-cocoa and Christmas traditions. It was fun posting for CIJ and reading the other blogs

Merry CIJ!!! I have a whole chicken cooking in the crock pot today. Its way to hot to turn on the oven. Dinner will be a mini holiday dinner with a Christmas movie afterwards with the family. Last night at dinner we popped in a Christmas CD to listen to and may do that again tonight. The kids have been talking about Christmas too .. We have been discussing decorating plans and things we want to do this upcoming fall and Christmas season.

I haven't looked at the new Hallmark dream book yet - must do that!

Yesterday was SUPPOSED to be a day of Christmas crafting for me. I took the day off work just to make it so!

Then I went out to the garden on Sunday night and found that green beans were ON! So yesterday was spent canning green beans and peach lime jam.

BUT I had Christmas movies playing in the background while I worked!

I, too, will have some canning to do next week. Green beans, maybe beets, and I'm going to try some red pepper jelly this year.
