I am starting this thread a couple hours before the 24th BUT...........

About 3 months until Christmas! That is just so hard to believe!

I am still cleaning but am making my list of items that need to be sewn.

You guys are all doing so good working on crafts!

Keep up the GREAT work!!!

What is on your list to work on this week?

I've been working on a bigger project, a crocheted afghan for my youngest sons room. My goal is a least three rows in the evening. This is my first blanket.

We’re at a sports bar today to watch the Seahawks game. Thought I would take this opportunity to get online and communicate with you all.

I need to find a craft store with some crochet cotton yarn so I can make some more dish cloths for the travel trailer. Why do I only have one dish cloth with me?

Otherwise, I plan to do some knitting on a scarf and hope to get to some CCS motifs.

After doing and un-doing the scarf I have to admit that the yarn is too thing for what I want to do. So have put that yarn away and will do it with a bulkier yarn. Today will be the start of it. Need to go buy more wool though

HouseElf, what color are you making it? That sounds like a pretty good goal setting.

DD, while I am cleaning out the closet in craft room I found some skeins of yarn for dishcloths. Made some a few years back. I should dig out a hook and take and work on that on lunches to use up the yarn.

Lucie, what color will the scarf be?

I crocheted a block on my winter afghan last night. It felt great to be crocheting again. I hope to make a block every night. It takes 2 hours or so to make one.

It's in three shades of blue, a navy a denim blue and a light 'sky' blue. Making wide stripes - about eight rows each colour before switching.

HouseElf, I love blues

Lucie, sounds like a sock! LOL

GrammaDeb, granny blocks? What color?

I finished a dish rag today at work. Double crocheting. Light blue. I got 4 or 5 skeins of peaches and cream yarn for $1.00 each at Wal-Mart awhile back in different colors.

Lana, it's called Linda's Snowflake Potholder - made into an afghan. I found the pattern online. The snowflakes are white with a dark blue background.

We will leave here tomorrow and spend a few days in Coos Bay, OR, then on to the Redwoods for a few days before B-lining it home. We should be home sometime Thursday of next week.

I've been working on a CCS motif of a cute little octopus to use on a BD card for Sonja. I hope to be able to finish another dish cloth tonight.

Dinner is cooking in the slow cooker ... Polish Sausage Stew ... life is good!

Had to undo AGAIN the scarf... that's what I find different between crochet or knitting. in crochet you make a mistake you just undo a little bit .... not so easy with the knitting! I think I'll have to check on youtube on how to patch up things without undoing the lot.

Greetings!

Lucie ~ There's a technique called a "lifeline". Here's a link with some ideas.
https://www.craftsy.com/blog/2014/08/how-to-rip-your-knitting/
Hope this is helpful. I know that frogging your knitting is no fun and very frustrating!
I use the lifeline technique when I make socks, just before I start the heel. It has "saved my bacon" numerous times.
