Relaxing for me has completely gone out the window with my new job. I need to finish Christmas shopping and catch up on my school work. I'm now a full week behind. Yikes! I had to take last week to study for the Math Praxis because that took priority so that's why i'm behind, but I didn't have a choice. Now that the test is over my focus returns to my regular school work.

Appointments:
[C] Spouses Club Board Brunch (Wed)- decided i'm not going, have to prioritize my time
[X] Doctor (Thu)
[X] Eli/Addison Orthodontist (Sat)

Work:
[X] Tue
[X] Fri
[X] Sat

School:
[X] Week 3
[X] Week 4
[ ] Begin Week 5 (finish if possible)

Other:
[X] Harley to pickup or order gifts for DH (Priority this week)
[X] Finish Christmas shopping
[X] Pick a day to bake (hoping to do some baking this weekend)

Fun:
[X] Read
[X] Play Christmas music every chance I get
[X] Watch Hallmark and Christmas movies as I have time
[X] Meet friend and kids for coffee/hot chocolate date (Wed)
[X] Potluck at DH's work (Thu)
[X] Event at DH's work (Fri afternoon)

Jess, I know that you will manage to fit all that you have to do in somewhere. You are very capable. Prioritise the most important things and the rest will find it's place.

Glad to see that I'm in good company with relaxing going out the window this past week. :D
Katrina, is starting back with DrillDance training in January like starting over?
Jess, you must feel relieved that the Math Praxis is over.

I worked super hard on getting as much of my Christmas Prep to-do list done and writing up pages from scratch for a procedure manual for a non-profit group. Wait, did I ever even tell you that I'm working with on a part time basis with a start-up non-profit? Most of this week will be a wash out since I go in on Monday morning for the second part of the vein work. In the event that I'm feeling up to doing something, I made a list for this week.

  • Review calendar for upcoming week. Done
  • Plan Menu for next week. Done
  • Clean Bathrooms. Done
  • Pay bills. Done
  • HHP
  • Review CCP Done
  • Holiday Self-Care Plan (HSCP) Done
  • Reading plan
  • FlyLady - Kitchen
    • Dust top of fan. Done
    • Clean oven. Done
    • Clean microwave. Done
    • Clean out the refrigerator. Done
    • Wipe down cabinets and appliances. Done
    • Wash floor.
    • Clean Windows. Done
    • Wipe down trash can. Done
    • Wipe down wall and door jambs. Done
New this Week:
  • Write Thank You notes to Youth Group Leaders Done
Still to Do:
  • Work off of Christmas Brunch Timeline. Done
  • Organize pictures:
    • Divide pictures into 5 groups.
    • Work on the first group this week.
    • Write names and dates on the back of pictures

the team will meetup for Christmas dinner next week but no training till January. The first training back is always a little hard as we are a bit rusty but we get back into it pretty quickly. Our next competition will be February 9th.

Mary, no you did not tell us this. I am amazed that you find time to fit it all in.
Hope the second procedure goes well.

This procedure was so much better! I am taking it easy but I'm able to get work done around the house little by little. I rested on Monday. Tuesday I spend the day slowly sorting through 4 bags of clothes.
Walking is encouraged but I also have to elevate my legs, wear compression socks and use warm compresses. I'm also restricted with exercise and how much weight I can lift so I'm not stressing the veins right now. The compression socks make a difference!

Thanks, Ladies! I worked around the house a little at a time and then elevated my leg throughout the week. The family did the dinners. I caught up on a lot of Hallmark movies. Yesterday I went out grocery shopping but then spent the rest of the day taking it easy doing writing and planning and walking. It's been hard but I know at this point, if I keep doing things slow and steady, I should be feeling pretty good on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. :)

Mary, glad to hear you are taking it easy. Agree that slow and steady is the best for your recovery.
I know you will be right for Christmas.
