Any 'hot spots' for February?

I deep-cleaned and reorganized bathroom cabinets. Pitched expired medecines

I did the medicine cabinet yesterday as well. I did not mean to but I was looking for something (which was not there) and pulled everything out- it was just as easy to clean, sort and re-organise whilst it was all out.

LOL I did our medicine cupboard too! I wanted to see what I needed for the upcoming Winter. I added throat lozenges, cough syrup and tissues to the planner.

Just tidied up the entry to our house. This tends to be a bit of a catch all with coats, umbrellas, dog leads and the vacuum all stored in the coat cupboard. It just needed a good sorting out. Looks much better now but I am still not 100% happy. Might need to give this area some more thought.

J took another load of stuff from the storage unit to the thrift store.

If we keep this up there won't be anything left to store!!

We are taking everything out of the pantry so can redo the shelving. The floor will get put in there and the walls repainted. As of now about 3/4 is out sitting on my table and around. Would like to put a light in too.

Hoping the kitchen area will be for February. Didn't get very far in it during January.

I need finish one more cupboard in the kitchen then I will tackle the appliances and floor and windows. May change the drapes. Bonus would be if I get to the front hall coat closet.

I did 3 kitchen drawers today. Unfortunately not much to get tossed but they were messy and jumbled. Wiped them out, re-sorted and tidied things up.

De-cluttering

I did three kitchen drawers and the pantry.

I tell you ... de-cluttering the kitchen table is such a hard thing! Such a catch-all!

I need to do the laundry room shoe rack.

Just need to tidy 2 more cupboards in the kitchen and then I am done. The under the sink one is the worst.

Did the kids (or main) bath. Washed the shower curtains (liner and cloth one), cleaned out the medicine cabinet (Ryans stuff) and the linen closet. In the closet I got the shelves separated to include towels, Ryans and of course Teigan. Think Teigan won with 2 toys and then her soap, q-tips, hair stuff, tooth brush etc.. I washed the pictures and of course cleaned tub, stool, sink and mopped. Rug is getting ready to get out of washer and will air dry. Just need to wipe the light bulbs above vanity. They were hot.

I emptied out 2 or 3 cleaning items, and threw stuff away from the medicine cabinet.

That was not on my list to do tonight of all things but..... GLAD I did it.

Finished decluttering all of the kitchen cupboards. Not as bad as I thought as I did them about 6 months ago.

Wasn't planning to but I decluttered and tidied my wardrobe and drawers. Put some things into the charity bin. I still have many clothes so I think I don't need to buy any.

Pantry has been gone thru and stuff thrown away. More shelves put in.

I also cleaned out the spice cabinet and threw gobs away. What a waste. Some expired in 11 most 13. Not sure how long they all keep. Have 2 that will go out in the next couple months. I know I have used some way past expiration and they were fine but.... Got gobs of plastic lids for my friends grandkids for school collection.

Hoping to start in kitchen cabinets.

Christmas Tree

Finally. I have taken the last of the ornaments off the tree. Yes, it is still in the living room.
Now Dh is in charge of taking it to the trash place. I had over 50 white ornaments that I took off. These are my base color for the tree, all different types of white ornaments. The decorative ornaments were packed up long ago. Some day I should count how many ornament i have including all the MHH swap ones. Dh should be able to get the tree gone tomorrow night (I think that's when they open to bring items).

I am not doing a lot this week. It has been a busy week in other areas of life. I really need to tidy the laundry room and start getting this house ready for winter. Roll on next week so I can start over.
