Festive 4th of July!

I always like to see what others are doing for a holiday. I just read last year's menu and it seems I'm having just about the same this year, lol.

Since we have the whole weekend, I planned a couple of meals.

Tonite DH is working so we'll grab chicken gyros and shrimp before he has to go.

Tomorrow for the 4th I'm planning:

Hot dogs
BBQ chicken
Potato salad (DH is making)
Mandarin coleslaw
Baked beans
Deviled eggs (maybe!)
Sangria
Ice cream and spiked watermelon AND apple pie for dessert

Sunday I am doing pulled pork in the crockpot and we'll just add the same sides from Saturday.

Anyone else celebrating?

With DD's Birthday the 3rd we really do not do much on the 4th.

For her Birthday it was:

Very fresh trout (we caught it at the Trout Farm, they cleaned them, we grilled there)
Homemade potato salad
Homemade coleslaw
Veggie tray
Tater Sauce
Drinks

all sounds so yummy and like perfect picnic food! We don't hve plans so I don't know that we will be donig anything different for dinner or not.
