Christmas Spirit

I don't have one.. at least not at the ready :).. But I am on today looking for one. We used to do it several years ago.. and I'm sure it was posted on these threads.. so if you have it or it sounds familiar.. Help me out, PLEASE. It was similar to the You've Been Boo'd concept. A little gift and a poem that you drop off to someone. We called it Christmas Spirit. We would wear camoflauge and santa hats as we delivered our bags of goodies to our friends and families. We are already working on our goodies to be devlieverd but when I pulled out my notebook, There were no copies of our poem. The same held true of the computer files marked for Christmas. So, if you have one or know where to find it in all the threads.. THANK YOU!

Maybe this one?

http://www.cafetraditions.com/You-Have-Been-Elfed-P39C10.aspx

You have been Elfed!

Santa’s little helper has come to town,
To leave these goodies you have found.
If you wish to have the best season of all
You must help this "Elf" with his call.

First, post this Elf where it can be seen
And leave it there till Christmas Eve.
Then other visiting Elves will pass on their way.
Be sure to participate, it will bring joy to your day.
Second, make two treats,
Two Elves, and
Two notes like this.

Just one day, is all you’ve got
So go ahead and give it a shot.

Leave the treats where they Elf has not gone
By the light of the moon, deliver to their home.

Hide behind a bush, a car even a tree
The surprise & joy on their face you are sure to see.

Now you've been blessed with yuletide cheer.
You’ll feel it throughout the New Year.

Alas another Christmas Tradition is sure to have begun.
Thanks for sharing in this Christmas fun.

And last but not least, enjoy the season.
For all of the right reasons.

Or this one?
http://www.beenjingled.com/

You've Been Jingled!
The Christmas Elf is jingling around.
Ringing the bells of the homes he has found.
Leaving some goodies for a happier season.
Continue this jingling, you have a good reason.
First, post this Elf near your front door.
Please do it soon or you may get some more!
This will let the other Elves know of your visit.
Be sure to participate, you don't want to miss it!
Second, make two goodies & two copies from
www.beenjingled.com
Deliver them to two neighbors, try to stay calm.
Jingling the door bell, its certainly fun,
To act like an Elf and then Run, Run, Run!
Next, you have only one day to act, so begin.
Leave it at a door where the Elf hasn't been.
Deliver when the time is just right.
Ring the doorbell and stay out of sight!
The Jingling Elf wants to bring everyone Joy
Visiting the homes of good girls and good boys.
This is all in good fun and we are trying to say,
Have a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Sunshine,

I think yours maybe the one.. I think I actually used a SAnta.. as he is the biggest "Elf" of all.. I remember driving thru one neighbor hood and seeing all the doors with the same Santa Print out on their doors thinking it all started with me doing just one house on that street.. What fun!

Thanks everyone!

I made up game night gift baskets last year with small games, cards and snacks. I put a gift tag with this on it:

When Santa’s Sleigh is put away,
And all the presents open.

When you’ve had your fill of winter’s chill,
And some fun you are a hopin’

Open up this Game Night gift,
And give your winter blues a lift!

I used to have a poem that went with laundry soap as a gift. . . something about how the soap could clean your clothes but only Christ can cleanse your soul. I lost all my links and saved stuff when my hard drive fried. Any one have a clue or a similar poem I could use?
