Good day!

What's cooking?

M and I ended up having Meatball Hoagies for dinner last night. We used the meatballs from Sunday's dinner. Tonight may be pierogies....lol. I don't like not knowing....my menu planning self doesn't do well with not having a plan. ;)

Should be sloppy joes but I forgot to check if we have buns, may have to go out or change the menu!

What cut of meat do you use for your beef tips? I found a recipe for beef tips but it didn't say what cut of meat to use, so I just picked one at the store. Does it matter?

Jess, I buy a chuck roast and cut it into stew meat, which is what is used to make stew meat by butchers (my ex used to be a butcher), but I use it for beef tips. Most beef tips are made with sirloin tips, so if you want "real" beef tips, buy a sirloin tip roast or a sirloin steak.

Thanks for the info I've always wondered what cuts of meat I could use to make my own.
