Thursday- The Pizza Press
Friday- BBQ- burgers, hotdogs, ribs, potato salad, pasta salad, green beans, carrots/broccoli, baked beans, scotcharoos, rice krispy treats, cookies
Saturday- The family ate whatever since I wasn't home

I made a big list of meals and bought the groceries for them. We will decide each morning what we're going to have that evening. I got tired of planning out each day in advance and then not wanting that meal by that day, so i'm trying something different. Here's my list though:

Spaghetti w/meatballs
Grilled Chicken w/potatoes, salad and corn
Homemade Pizza
Homemade Sweet and Sour Chicken w/fried rice
Tacos
Pigs in Blankets or Mini Pigs in Blankets w/mac and cheese
Chicken and Dumplings w/mashed potatoes and rolls
Country Pasta w/raw veggies and Ranch (already had)
Burgers w/pasta salad, baked beans, etc.
(already had)

Did a lot of meal prepping this afternoon. Dh went to the store three times. First with the list, then because the sausage didn’t come home with him and the third time because the chicken breasts looked excellent so I wanted more. For the freezer I pounded 8 pounds of chicken breasts, fried up a pound of Italian Sausage, did up some pork chops and used 3 pounds of ground beef to make a Donair which is cooking right now. Once everything is frozen I’ll take a photo of everything in the freezer.

I did tell Dh that my Kitchen Aid mixer will need replacing. He said it’s well over 20 years old so I should start looking. I mainly use it for mixing heavy items. I did have to mix the Donair meat in two batches. 3 pounds of hamburger in the mixer at medium speed was throwing out little meatballs which the dogs thought was wonderful. They voted I keep the old one.

That is a riot. My dogs are never too far away from me when I am in the kitchen.

Whatever is joined by it's little brother, Something! :D

This reminds me of an incident when our youngest, who was a very picker eater, was eating pancakes. We were out of Mrs. Buttersworth syrup - the only kind she would eat, but for some reason I happened to have some Aunt Jemima. She, of course, was refusing to eat, so being quick to think, I said, "Look, it's okay. Mrs. Buttersworth and Aunt Jemima are sisters, like Aunt Beth and me." She stopped crying and ate it right up!
