You know me, definitely not the world's little crafter but I have found a design for the MHH 2020 CIJ Ornament Swap and plan to work on it starting in January so I have some finished by the time I find out how many people are participating. Apart from that, Project Life is my only craft (and going back through the last few years to make catch-up December Daily albums because I have SO MANY supplies)!

Good on you. I think if you have an idea grab the material now and go for it. You will be in a good position when it is swap time.

Quilts! 4 for gifts, the pattern is called Winterville I think. 3 others for me. A snowman quilt made from my stash. I couldn’t figure out a pattern but my friend gave me one that she got at her quilt guild. It’s perfect for the large print fabric I have. The other 2 will be from the old clothes my mom saved.

If that’s not enough, I’d like to make more purses and some clothes for me and shirts for my husband. Lap quilts from my stash for the nursing home. I also want to become proficient with my embroidery software.
Not the least overbooked am I?

Can I join you ladies even though what I would like to do isn't a hand craft? It's more like a hobby. I would like to set time aside to write up mini family biographies. I've tried for several years to do this on my own without success. I really need accountability

I was thinking:
  • Knit socks (I will try for 4 pairs next year)
  • 40 Christmas ornaments for friends
  • Scarves with leftover yarn for the homeless
  • 1 shawl for me
  • A few shawls for gifts
  • 3 felt ornaments for dnieces and nephew
  • 1 crochet rabbit (been saying this for a few years)
  • Baby booties
  • ...

Yes! You all are always so inspiring!

I didn't do much this year ... crafting. Last minute crochet hat for DD27 who moved to Vermont in Nov. I made a hat for her boyfriend, as well. I have made things for Etsy, but it's really a hobby to keep me sane dealing with DD16 OCD. My DD said I should try it last year.

Has anyone crocheted socks for gifts?? I was thinking of doing this, starting early .... I have looked at free Lion Brand patterns. Didn't know if someone had a beloved pattern?

I too am thinking of doing socks. I think I will knit rather than crochet. I will need to find a pattern.

I have done a pair of yoga socks in crochet. the only thing I see is that if knit the cuff is more stretchy. The yoga socks I did the cuff in knit and the rest in crochet.

You guys rock!

All I know is that I'm going to be doing projects with adhesive vinyl and iron-on vinyl - using the Cricut.

I'll make more felt ornaments of course.

The rest is wide open!!!
