American Thanksgiving is 2 weeks from today!
I love reading what everyone is having for their holiday meals! Sometimes you get some good ideas. I think it is HouseElf who had the recipe for sweet potatoes and pinepple? I'm really wanting to try that one.
Menu - 2013
Cheese & crackers
Crab dip
Appetizer - Fresh fruit c0cktail
Relish Tray of stuffed celery, green and black olives
Roast turkey
Stuffing (always attempt homemade and will try again this year, also do Stovetop!)
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Green bean casserole
Creamed spinach
Acorn squash
Candied sweet potatoes
Cranberry sauce, canned and homemade
Rolls, usually crescent
Beverages - iced tea, water, soda, wine, egg nog, coffee
Dessert - All homemade
Apple pie
Pumpkin pie
Cheesecake
What is everyone else having? Are you cooking or going to someone's house. Going to a restaurant? Our first year in FL, we had stuffed salmon and grilled steak. Wasn't too keen on making a big turkey dinner at first, but I've managed to learn how to make a great meal each year.
