AJ if you have the time to look through the whole store there are many bargains to find.
I will do my first big post Christmas shop next week and I have a list for things I would like to buy, not necessities, just things I would like. If I find things great, if not also OK.

I picked up some kitchen towels at Dollar General and also got some red baskets there.
I saw some lovely red felt baskets at KMart before Christmas and could not think how I would use them so did not buy them..Since then I have thought of quite a few ideas for them. Oh well.

Faye. The flute glasses sound lovely. I don’t have any glasses particularly for Christmas

I picked up fabric for a pr of pj’s and a Christmas pillowcase at 50% off along with some bath stuff for next Christmas. Also got a couple items for some birthday gifts this year.
Got some Christmas candy and muffin cups along with some small Christmas envelopes on clearance before Christmas at Michaels. When I picked those up the Christmas section at Michaels was almost empty.

Went into KMart today to have a look around. The lovely red baskets that I saw before Christmas were there so I got 3. The large were $20.00 each and the small were $10 each. Today I paid 50c each!!!!

Great find Katrina!

I might do a bath basket. Hope the luffas grow this summer.

I need to go back and see if any white ones are left. I knew I should of taken some of them when only 3 red were there.

Lana, I have not decided what to do with the baskets just yet. As they are red they might be OK for Valentine's Day. I could make DD a bath basket or a Christmas hamper full of goodies. I think I will use one for DD BF parents and fill it with homemade cordials, biscuits and treats. Will see.
Just couldn't pass them up for that price.

Went to Dollar General at lunch and only 2 white baskets were left. Got the only 3 red the other day for $1.50 each and the whites ones were 75% off so that made them 90 cents. Got some holiday seek a word books for 30 cents, a stand up Santa and 2 boxes of Christmas trees that have 2 trees in them that are like 6 to 8" tall and change colors for $3.00 each. They were $10 each so got 3 for $9.00. Thinking for game prizes. Got a few other odd things ribbon, mugs that are plastic and 4 pictures to color to insert. They were $2.00 but down to 60 cents. Tissue paper down to 30 cents and a couple bags. Also wreaths a heavy foam or something about 10 to 12" were $5 and got for $1.50 each. Got all 4.

Just ordered my first gift for 2019! An honest to goodness hot water bottle - lol

It's for my friend in CO - it gets pretty chilly there. I'm going to create a felt hot water bottle cover to go over it.

When to Michaels and picked up 9 balls of cotton to make dishcloths for what will be part of two Christmas gifts in camomile and off white. They were buy two get one free. Also picked up some blocks to make some Christmas count down calendars. Just need to find some Christmas scrapbook paper for them. Think a trip across the border to Hobby lobby will be in order once winter is over.
I got a few Christmas handsoaps from bath and body for $2.00 each.

Just back from IKEA. I got some of their clip jars for 1.75 each. I will put the kids favourite lollies in them for a quick/inexpensive gift from Santa. DD loves black jelly beans, and DS likes chocolates so will look for something like that.

Hopefully next year I will not forget or not be able to find items. I am notorious for tucking away things in a spot I won't forget.

Use that nifty Franklin Planner you have and make a note of where you "hide" things for Christmas! :D

I went back to bath and body works since I had another coupon and picked up hand soaps and another candel for my son. The candel was 75% off. I found 2 more cookbooks at dollar tree too and a couple of stocking stuffer type things.

Happened to pop in to hartville hardware as they were marking Christmas down to 70% off. I found some tin Christmas tree shape trays with cut outs down to 4$and 6$. I got 2 large and 2 small perfect for cousin and girlfriend gifts. I had seen something similar at kohls but way out of my budget. And since it's my birthday I got a large tin basket as a gift from my husband to me:p! It was 70% off too.

Al of you are doing a great job ... We been out shopping but haven't found any must buys right now except for a few ornaments for the kids. So I will continue just to tuck money away in the Christmas Club.
