1. Edge of Survival - one of my dystopian novels - no one wants to read this except me
2. The Captain - David Wright's memoir of his time in the NY Mets was better than I thought it would be

Debbie is Edge of Survival one of the books in the Edge of Collapse series by Kyla Stone? If so have you read other books in the series.

I'm going to aim for 12 books this year -- one a month. I was an avid reader, prior to my husband's death in mid-2014. At that time, my concentration went out the window and has been hard to regain. I did a lot of reading as part of my job (and still do, but I'm now only working 1/4 time), but that has not transferred to leisure reading. I think I made it through 3 books last year. And I need to work on improving that in 2021.

1. Hannah, Kristin. Home Again.
2. Shari LaPena. Someone We Know. Started it, not going to finish it. Not my genre ... not worth any more time.
3. Tobin McClain, Lee. Cottage at the Beach.
4. Woodson Harvey, Kristy. The Secret to Southern Charm.
5. Bond, Lisa. A to Z Canning and Preserving for the Beginner (e-book)
6. Halford, Simon. Canning & Preserving Food for Weight Loss (e-book)
7. Siddons, Anne Rivers. Sweetwater Creek.
8. Moyes, Jojo. The Last Letter from Your Lover.
9. Modglin, Kiersten. The Arrangement.
10. Rice, Luanne. The Perfect Summer.
11. Hilderbrand, Elin. Golden Girl.

Lori, i think you are doing a great thing by retraining your concentration. It will take time and persistence to retrain but you will do it. Do you like crosswords, sudoku, word searches? Also another way of strengthening your concentration.

Tricia - yes it is the current last volume of the series and I've read all of them. The final one is due out in April I think.

2/10 Patchwork Holiday.
Wanda E Brunstetter, Renee DeMarco, Diann Mills and Colleen L Reece.

4 intertwining stories by 4 authors in the one book. I enjoyed it very much.

Thank you, Katrina. I do word-searches regularly and just need to set aside a definite time for reading on a more regular basis. A friend loaned me her copy of "Someone We Know" at Thanksgiving, and I've yet to start it. Need to get it back to her by the end of the month, so that's my goal right now.

So my goal was also 20 in 20. I finished about 12, but seriously listened to about 10 more halfway and didn't finish. With that said, my library now has 21 day options for checking out books, instead of 14, so I think I'll do much better with finishing. I'm going to go with 1 a month and hope for more.

There are alot of mysteries out there I don' t know the endings too..haha..I'm going to go back and finish those as well. I MUST KNOW..WHO DONE IT!!

My goal is 17 books which averages to be one every three weeks. That's about all that I can handle from the library. Unfortunately, 3 ebooks came in within days of one another. Ebooks are 2 week loans. I've been on the waiting list for them since November. The first book that I finished is A Castaway in Cornwall by Julie Klassen.

I like that I can read on my phone or on my laptop. The phone is good for reading when I'm not at home but the laptop version reads as if it is the book.

A realistic goal is going to have to be 12 books. If there's more then great. I keep buying books with good intentions though, so that's a start!
