I think someone mentioned it in another post, but just in case you don't know...

The date for US Thanksgiving this year is November 25, 2021. Just 4 weeks before Christmas...

How exciting. We don't celebrate anything now until Christmas.

And let's not forget that Hanukkah begins on November 29! Much too close to Thanksgiving!

Yikes! It sounds like you will be super busy this year. Do you recall the two holidays fallen close to each other like this before?

I do not know how you manage to do it all with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas all within such a small time frame. Such a busy time of year but so exciting.

Mary - I think that two or three years ago Hanukkah began on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. That was tough!

I need to touch base with family we visit for Thanksgiving dinner - pretty sure we'll go down this year - unless we're in the middle of a horrible surge. I have a Plan A and Plan B for our meal - just in case!

Before too long it will be time to start trolling the Black Friday sites like GottaDeal, etc. I'm guessing my shopping will continue to be mainly online again this year!

Canada celebrates on Oct 11th this year. Right around the corner. 84 days.
I love that our Thanksgiving is in early October, prime leaf colours and weather makes it usually a wonderful weekend to enjoy some outside time! This year we plan on just 'us' for dinner again (no visits or guests yet) but a hike and a family photo to send for holiday greetings are planned.

I also like that our Thanksgiving is early. gives us time to prep for the Holidays. Usually we went to a local festival and my parents, sis and bil came but I think we won't be doing that again as mom is not feeling well enough for that. they might come anyways just to spend a weekend together
