I just realized that I didn't get a list posted yesterday. I see it was a busy weekend for Jess too. I can not believe how fast July flew for me. I think spending so much time painting a room made me lose track of the month.

Here's what needs to get done this week:
  • Weed Gardens
  • Clean Bathrooms.
  • Pay bills - Water, Credit, Utility, Heat/AC,
  • Correspondence: Family History group;
  • Appts: Tues: Physical Therapy; Austen Book Meeting; Friday: Physical Therapy ;
  • Menu Planning
    • Menu plan for upcoming week.
    • Plan for Saturday luncheon
    • Check that ingredients for planned meals are in the house.
    • Make a grocery list.
    • Buy groceries.
    • Food Prep: Cut up onions, peppers and carrots, etc, for upcoming meals.
  • FlyLady: Living Room, Entrance, Dining Room and Front Porch:
    • Dust.
    • Vacuum.
    • Dust Blinds.
    • Sweep the front porch.
    • Clean front door.
    • Wipe down wall and door jambs.
    • Dust Chandelier.
    • Wipe down dining room chairs
  • Do weekly reflection.
  • Staple reflection papers to the planner pages.
  • Update journal.
  • Think about bridal shower gift, card and wrapping. (Bought one item. Still need to buy more.)
  • Declutter boxes from closet.

Hello ladies, here's to a great week. I so love reading about your Summer as we are over here freezing. I am really looking forward to Spring.

Are either of you going to be doing one of the cleaning plans? I am going to try and participate in a modified HGP. I have tried to complete it the last few years and have never gotten all the way through, maybe this year.

Yes, I'm planning on doing HHP. :) I have been able to stick with it over the years. Some weeks are tougher to get done because of life's circumstances. I remember doing HHP one year after my aunt died rather unexpectedly and I was so thankful. I really was in a state of shock and trying to get through life. That the plan was spelled out for me and so I just did what I could do each week.

I like both the cleaning plans and have really modified them both to suit my own needs. I have it all set up in my planner and my household binder and am ready to get moving at he end of the month. I start off really well and then struggle at the end. This year I am not in DrillDance so that will free up a bit more time. I am determined to give it my best this year.

I don't usually follow either plan, but may give it a whirl this year since we have our own house. However, being that we just moved in there won't be much to do.

Jess, I think both plans also incorporate Christmas Prep. That's where I find the value to the plans. It helps me to think ahead on ways to prepare for Christmas without being so stressed when December hits.

Mary, agreed. I like the little reminders about buying pantry items or making a freezer meal, wrapping a gift. They are th little nudges I need to keep on top of things
