12 Days of Christmas Origin

I wanted to do the 12 days of Christmas gag gifts and wondered when to do them, so I looked it up and here is what I found. I thought it would start before Christmas and end on Christmas day or the day before...was I ever wrong. I thought this interesting.

It is a very common mistake/ belief.

Christmas Day is day 1, ending at 12th Night - the day before Epiphany. I don’t see a problem if you would prefer to give the gifts leading up to Christmas though.

Traditionally this is “Advent” and it is 40 days, but ‘modern’ customs begin on the 1st, hence the Advent calendars!
