We had our traditional New Year's meal the other night before my sister left.

Shannon's mention of Chinese food for New Year's sounds really good!!

And, I can get something with a lot of veggies!

I think I will go for that!

I put together some green beans, onion, red potatoes, and cubed ham in the crockpot with lots of salt and pepper. I hope it turns out good. I'm really wishing I would have gotten the stuff for ham and beans even though my family wouldn't eat it. That and some cornbread really sounds good right now.

We will be having fried chicken, cole slaw and baked beans, with a relish tray.
