I'm posting this a few days late, but I looked up the publishing dates of some of my favorite holiday magazines on Rudy Day:

From Better Homes and Gardens Special Interest Publications:

Holiday Crafts - 8/2/11
Fall Baking - 8/9/11
Halloween Tricks and Treats - 8/23/11
Christmas Ideas - 9/20/11
Food Gifts - 9/20/11
Best Holiday Cookbook - 9/20/11
Christmas Cookies - 9/20/11
Holiday Baking - 10/25/11
100 Best Cookies - 10/25/11
Make Ahead Holiday Recipes - 11/1/11
Party Food - 11/22/11

I also love Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade, but I can't find the publication dates. She had great Halloween ideas last year! Enjoy!

I was just at Wal-Mart and they had a holiday craft magazine out and the Gooseberry patch Christmas magazine/book too. I think there might of even been one more, but I can't remember for sure.

I loved alot of the ideas in there. I haven't read patterns yet though and details to decide what I want to make.

Magazines.....Oh How I miss them

Oh there use to be so many wonderful magazines during this time of year.

But I haven't seen too many that I really like any more. Paula Dean for sure, BHG every now and then has a good one.

Maybe I just haven't grown with the times. :) How I miss Country Home, and Country Living special editions.

Maybe I'm just foggy on this but it seemed that there where more craft magazines to choose from as well.

Does anyone have BH&G Fall 2011 Baking?

Dear Fellow Members,

Hi, I'm Eve and I love to cook for holidays. I just missed the 2011 Better Homes and Gardens Fall Baking issue in the stores. I asked the library and they couldn't find a copy ANYWHERE! It seems that since this is not sold by subscription no library in the USA collects it.

I called the company and they told me they don't have back issues. No one seems to know what happens to the unsold issues after they are pulled from the shelves. There are no copies for sale ANYWHERE!

Does anyone have a copy you want to sell, or have a suggestion as to where I can find one?

Best Wishes for a Great New Year to Everyone, Eve

I'm sorry, Eve. Actually didn't buy that one this year. But BHG has all of their recipes online at www.BHG.com/recipes
I know it's not the same as having a nice glossy magazine, but you can search by theme/topic....such as apple recipes, fall recipes, etc.

Hope this helps!
