It's really been nice not having to run around this December since all school activities have been cancelled. It was also nice to have the family home to help out with baking, decorating and keeping up with the housework. Last week was one of the calmest week before Christmas that I've had in a number of years.

Household Checklist

  • Keep up with minimum maintenance.

Holiday Prep Checklist
  • Finish wrapping gifts. Swedish Fish, Goldfish, Pretzel Fish,
  • Make gift certificates.
  • Check and organize stocking stuffers.
  • Have gift bags ready for drop offs.
  • Continue with Christmas Journal.
  • Finish up Ornament Journal.
  • Double check that ingredients for Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas breakfast and Christmas dinner have been bought.
  • Check cameras and camcorders.
    • Upload photos from camera to computer.
    • Delete photos from camera to allow more space for Christmas photos.
    • Charge batteries

Went grocery shopping today and the butcher for the ham.
Will do prep work and a little cooking Wednesday for Christmas Eve dinner.
Husband will vacuum and clean bathrooms Thursday morning ( that’s always his job to help out since I cook. Time for me to sit and have coffee).
That’s it, the rest of the time is to sit and enjoy the holiday.
