I like all those and do eat them ... I wonder if I eat 30 g a day though.
Kiwi ... with the hairy brown skin????
Uhmmmmmm ....

As you said, not too onerous to swap with some of these. I am not sure what kefir is but I actually enjoy all the other things. The examples she gave didn't seem like it would be a big overhaul.
Pears, raspberries, chia seeds, kiwi (important to eat with the skin), black beans, leafy greens,
greek yogurt, kefir, pistachios.
Thank you for that information. I am not sure if it is something that is available here, I will need to look.Kefir
Fermented milk drink
Kefir is a fermented milk drink similar to a thin yogurt or ayran that is made from kefir grains, a specific type of mesophilic symbiotic culture. It is prepared by inoculating the milk of cows, goats, or sheep with kefir grains. Kefir is a common breakfast, lunch or dinner drink consumed in countries of West Asia and Eastern Europe.
I'm having to do a "long prep". I'm assuming due to being on Ozempic. I have to skip the Ozempic the week before. Then, on Saturday (colonoscopy is on a Monday), I have to take Dulcolax at 8AM and 6PM. I also have to mix one cap full of Miralax in 8 ounces of water and drink it, repeating it throughout the day until I've used the entire bottle of Miralax. On Sunday, I have to drink the prescription stuff which has been mixed with one gallon of water. I start at 2PM, drinking 8 ounces every 20 minutes until it's half gone. At 9PM, I have to repeat it, drinking the other half gallon that's left until it's gone.I misspoke when I added kefir into the list of foods with high fiber.
They also talked about fermented foods and their importance and kefir was in that list.
In the podcast, the speaker suggested mixing kefir into greek yogurt. Since greek yogurt is so thick.
I have seen in the stores here, kefir sold in little bottles. Some people do it like a shot I think.
Jane- You are doing the right thing by getting the colonoscopy. I took pills last time. Maybe that is an option?
I will say, they are like horse pills. Very big! It was hard getting the 2nd does of them down.
Or- is it the "going" part?!
The last four or so years I had a colonoscopy every 6 months while they watch a spot in my intestines. I told them there was no way I could drink all the medication in the gallon jugs. I didn’t mind the taste it was the amount. They said there was a prep called Moviprep but my insurances didn’t pay. It was $140 but I saved up for it every time. Very gentle, not explosive and less than half the amount of liquid. Finally they sniped off the tissue they were watching and put a clip on it. Now I go every 3 years. I just put my suitcase I used into the basement a few weeks ago. I kept it packed in my closet complete with soft toilet paper so I did not have to use the sandpaper kind in the hotel. I had to stay overnight since there was no way I could have done the prep and drove for two hours for the appointment. Wishing you lots of blessings during your prep.I'm having to do a "long prep". I think it's overkill, and I hope I survive!
My last one, I had some polyps, so maybe that's why???
I was hoping for the pills!
