I need to continue with what I have been doing lately. Yesterday was not a good day for me. I did not plan my food and snacks so bought things while we were out. Not terribly bad but not the best choices. Today just haul myself back up on the wagon and get into it again.
More water is needed now that it is cooling down. Will fill up my water bottle and make sure I drink the whole thing today.

I have bought some high protein low carb bars, will try those if I get a bit hungry, also have bought more fruit to eat for lunches.

sweetpumkinpye-
Thank you for the reminder to drink water. I will go fill my bottle right when I get off of here.

I am happy with my year so far. I was doing 10K steps a day for 6 days a week since January. However, on Sunday, while running, I messed up my foot. I realized in the process of getting in the 10K steps, I wasn't stretching like I was in December. That is partly why my foot hurts. I think it's a tendon. So, today, it was back to doing the 20 minute stretch routine. For this week, I will walk but not focus on the daily 10K steps.

I have to rethink my exercise routine so I have a better balance of cardio, steps and stretches.
I have been eating out a lot due to being so busy socially the last 2 weeks.
If I have to eat out, I like to order a salad as my main dish. It takes me forever to finish it and I always feel better when I leave the restaurant.

Rick finally finished cardiac rehab last week. He came home and asked if I would join a gym with him! Now I have been asking for YEARS to do that. Any ways since we both have silver sneakers with our Medicare supplement we will take advantage of it. I about fell over today when he told me that he toured the old physical therapy place we both went to. So I guess we are going to the gym! Finally.

I have been going to the gym three days a week the last 30 minutes of my lunch break. I have noticed my blood sugar levels are lower the days I do. I need to go all 5, but try to run any errands I have on the other 2 days so I'm not so late getting home after work. I need to motivate myself to go on Saturdays, too.

What a great idea,
Let's see.....

*Drink more water, at least one of my green bottles a day,
*Be mindful of blood sugar diet, I think I am sliding a little
*Sleep is a good one. Need to read more before sleep.
*I need to book in for a skin check.

@AnnieClaus What a good idea and good ideas you came up with!
@sweetpumkinpye I like your ideas, too!

I really need to:
* Limit sugar
* Limit carbs, at least especially simple ones
* Get steps in and or also ride the stationary bike

I have been doing the "what am I thankful for" thing with my morning devotionals before reading and listening to The Bible Recap daily on YouTube. I like to look back and see what I wrote a year ago.

I went to the department store yesterday and tried on some clothes. I am 2 sizes down from where I was so I was very surprised but happy. It has given me the push to keep at it.

Can anyone suggest how to keep the water level up through Winter? I need to hydrate but find drinking water just so chilling and really not pleasant. Summer is no problem I can drink litres of water.

I will drink hot water with lemon in it. I get the water intake with a little flavor.

I didn't jump on this bandwagon at the start of the New Year but am now. Of late, and part of the reason for my absence, is health-related -- physical and emotional. On the physical side, I started at a new gym and got hooked into trying a massage to help determine if my knee pain was related to ligaments, tendons, and the IT bands, or if it was arthritic or something that would require orthopedic intervention. While I know to hydrate after a massage, I did not know that hydration should be 2-3X more than after a normal massage. Talk about complications!!!! 2 weeks later and I'm still fighting the effects (think UTI, bladder, or kidney infection but without any bacteria present). The emotional level is just going to have to work itself out. And, I need to remind myself to be good to myself.

Katrina- I try to always have my water close by and just sip throughout the day. Every once in awhile I'll stop and say, "Take a few sips."
If I'm running errands or anything out of the house I take it and sip as I drive.

Lori- GOOD for you for jumping in.
We are always here to walk this journey together. Hope you get to feeling better.
