Thanks Diedra!

With the bloodwork, I don't mind having it done. The problem was that my blood wouldn't come out, they kept blowing my veins, and by the 4th stick she was digging around in my arm and for whatever reason it made my faint. That had never happened to me before. Lol

Jess- I am with you!
I have to start over, and over, and over..........

My work place did a "create your own health challenge" in June and I did really well.

Then I went to Vegas, then I went to the mountains.

Really, from the mountains to now, I have been Terrible!!
Last week with all the stuff I went to, I didn't even grocery shop. EVERY meal was restaurant food and I feel yucky!

Time to get back to it! I just wish I could keep it going........

I took grapes today and ate those for breakfast. I know that is definitely NOT enough food, but I ate fruit. haha I also ate them for a snack yesterday. And I will finish my Stanley cup of water today. I did not let myself get a coffee when I went out to grab lunch. I will take that win.

Planning this upcoming week and I really want to take good care of myself.

* Eating properly and frequently
* Hydrating
* Movement- ANYTHING! It could be dancing in the living room for 20 minutes.
* Rest and Sleep

It really is so simple when you look at it..........

This week my goal is simply to drink more water. I take coffee with me and end up drinking on it most of the day. Or I get a coffee from somewhere on my way in, usually a large, and drink on it all day. I need to either drink it faster (or just stop drinking it), or get a smaller size if getting take out coffee, and start drinking my water instead.

I was looking back on the beginning post for this year ...

My step goal is 2026! - I have been mostly making this goal!!

DD and I have an accountability app for self care called Finch and she made us a shared goal of riding the stationary bike - I have been mostly making this goal!!

I still want to make sure I am drinking water - I have been making this goal!!

In September, I did a Whole 30 and I might think about doing it again once we are back from vacation with the grandparents mid January. I felt so much better when I did that in September - I can't believe that was September 2025 and it's been a whole year already!! Wow times flies. I didn't actually do a Whole 30 in January. I wished I had!

And sugar ... again after vacay and a possible W30 ... I need to limit sugar intake. I feel so much better when I don't eat it - I so good one wekk of watching sugar and then the next, DS brings home something from work that calls my name! LOL

A friend of mine in Texas texted me and said, "Are we going to do the 40 in 40?"

This is in honor of Pat Tillman- The AZ Cardinals football player that left the NFL after
9/11 to join the military and was killed.

It starts on October 3rd and ends on Veterans Day.
40 was his jersey number and it takes 40 days from October 3rd-November 11th.

So....... I'll do a post on fb and see if peeps want to join in.

My work is also doing a health tracking challenge starting Monday and going for 3 weeks.
I signed up to do it.

Annie

sweetpumkinpye- It's crazy how sneakily the habits slip.
It's like you don't realize it and then one day you think, "Oh, I'm back in old, not good for me habits."

Any fluid you get is fine. And research says coffee/caffeine does not dehydrate a person so drink away and you can use the calories! The other thing you can do is to pour half your drink into a same size cup and add water. It tastes just as good. The key is not to sip it before adding the water. Limit when you drink caffeine for better sleeping. We have a 3 pm caffeine cut off at our house. The medical view on what to drink it changing. So have your coffee and enjoy. I was hard pressed to find a medical study that said water is so much better. Now that changes with different medical problems. Years ago with my migraines I was doing as told by the doctor to avoid caffeine since it caused migraines. One day I looked up the pills he had given me to take for migraines, main drug was Caffiene. So I self medicated with Coffee, Coke (the drink) and M&Ms. Worked very well.

I need to put more effort into a variety of veggies to serve. Raw is hard to digest so cooked it is now.
I am thinking/feeling like the older I am getting ... that raw veggies is harder to digest?? Hmmm .... I love salads, though. I eat all and everything in a salad like zucchini and olives and all the stuff DH eats (below).

DH is NOT/NEVER HAS BEEN/WILL NEVER BE (LOL) ... a veggies eater ... what he does eat is shredded cabbage/carrots in coleslaw, carrots sticks, celery, salad (Romaine, spinach, hot house cukes, shredded carrot, sweet onion, green onion ... those are the veggies ... I add shredded cheese, walnuts, boiled egg sometimes). DH thinks baked/fried potatoes and canned cream corn are vegetables LOL!
