I'm a bit behind with the Easter holiday preoccupying my mind and time. Everyone is back to school and work today. All the daffodils and forsythia have been in their yellow glory and are showing the hint of their beginning sign of fading. The hyacniths are in bloom now. The red buds on the trees have opened and the green leaves are popping out more and more each day. Our winter was very cloudy and rainy but these last few days of spring have been cool and sunny. It's been perfect walking weather.

Katrina - Best wishes on Nationals!

Daily:
  • Exercise
  • Prayer
  • Calendar Review of Appointments/Meetings
  • Reading ( 5 minutes)
  • Journal
  • Writing (5 minutes)
Weekly:
  • Dust/Vacuum/Mop
  • Bills
  • Laundry
  • Menu Planning
  • Groceries
  • End of Week Reflection
  • Set Research/Writing Goals
  • Answer Autobiographical Questions
  • Weed Garden
Monthly:
  • Mudroom and Laundry Area
    • Sweep
    • Dust
    • Wipe down the washer and dryer
    • Empty Trash can
Extra:
  • Christmas Prep [making up time from January through April] - Make list of people that I want to buy a gift for this year, stocking stuffer ideas, larger gift ideas for specific people, and gift ideas for me
  • Update addresses
  • Review last year's notes for food/drink consumption. Adjust the amount of food/drink with a new list.
  • Going room by room, make a list of items to “spruce” up. Any painting, touch ups, decluttering needed? Any replacements or repairs? What about outside? Does moss/mildew need to be removed from the siding, patio, and/or walkway? What about the mailbox? Do outdoor light bulbs need replacing? Decide what will get done and when.
  • Mend clothes.
  • Put together vacation recipes.
  • Make a hiking trail list.
  • Clean out the fireplace.
  • Wash winter coats.

You paint such a pretty picture, I can just imagine the view outside your window.

You have a lot on this week, I like the idea of a hiking trail list. Are you planning a lot of hikes over the Spring and Summer?

I didn't get to much on the Extra list. For most of the week, I worked off the list in my kitchen where I jot down quickly things before I forget about them again. LOL! Lots of that stuff is the kind of immediate things that need to get done. I feel so much better getting back to lists and a routine again.

Yes, we use the spring to get us back in hiking shape for the summer day long hikes.
