Even tho a person couldn't tell during March stuff got moved out. Allen has been taking stuff from the shed and garage and putting it out almost weekly for the trash.

April has started with Ryan really cleaning his room top to bottom.

I have been going thru papers. I print out so much stuff!!!!

I have the house to myself through Tuesday so I'm hoping I get lots of decluttering done!! I'll be shredding tons of papers also.

I did my kitchen yesterday. Threw out or bagged to donate anything that I knew I wouldn't use. I think I emptied 3 full garbage bags out of my kitchen. Cleaned out all the drawers, polished the silver, etc. It took all day, but it does look so much nicer in there now.

I'm trying to do this to every room in my house this month to have a clean slate to start with. Going to try to make a weekly cleaning plan and keep on top of everything. DDs are both very interested in cleaning, so I think it's time to introduce the chore chart and have them pitch in to keep this place cleaner.

DS's closet got done today. A big garbage bag got thrown out and a big garbage bag is full and ready to donate. It did lots of good!

DS is on holidays so tomorrow we are going to do his room. His room is actually quite clean and tidy, but he has not sorted through his clothes for a few years and I am sure that there are things that he no longer wears or fits him.
I will then write everything that he needs in my planner. I know that he will need a new suit, he has had his for 7 years and is now a bit too small.

Today did my closet. I have 10 sweaters to donate. dh got rid of 3 old shirts... he does not quite grasp the concept that if he hasn't worn it in more than a year (or 10!!) he can give it away.

Well that was a good effort. DS has gotten 3 big bags to go to the charity bin and 2 bags to go to the bin.
He needs a few new things but not much. I am very proud of him, he did a great job.
Now if he would just keep it clean :(

Going to do DD5's room this morning. Usually that means she gives all her stuff away to DD3 so she doesn't have to part with it.

Went through the pantry this weekend, including the filing cabinet where I had almost years worth of paper work stowed away.

Threw away all the trash paperwork, created filing folders for the rest. Tossed a huge stack of coupon booklets that were old. Straightened everything else in there, combined packages, tossed expired items, etc.

Looks SO much better in there now!

Yesterday I did my 4 kitchen drawers. Then we took the clothes out of our closet. I have several items for Goodwill as does Allen. I have 3/4 of my clothes put back but have to go thru my bank shirts. I parted with a lot of stuff---I feel.

I got DD5's room cleared out. Unfortunately, as I expected, she passed along most of her toys to DD3. I went to put her to bed last night and she said, "there's no room for me in my bed" because of all the new stuffed animals she acquired.
Today I'm cleaning out DD3's room. Always a little sad to get rid of the baby stuff, but she's too old for most of her toys in there.

In front of my computer
Whole room and a person

I decluttered one whole bedroom completely along with DD. lol We have lots of space now. Next week we will have the downstairs new carpet installed since the one bedroom is empty. The week after we have to have everything out of the top floor. Makes a good time to declutter and puts a date to have it done. I came home from unpacking DD with all the empty boxes to use for our house.

Sometimes I wonder if I could declutter Luke! He is renowned for spreading his clutter through the whole house!
