We have pumpkins and gourds growing in the garden this year. I didn't even plant them this year. They are seeds that found their way from spring 2020. I only had one pumpkin last year and it was still a light yellow by Halloween. This is a nice surprise for autumn!

I'm not sure I'll get to the things at the bottom of the list but I am hopeful!
  • Weed Gardens
  • Clean Bathrooms.
  • Pay bills - Medical
  • Correspondence: Family History group;
  • Appts: Wed: Physical Therapy; Thursday: Physical Therapy ;
  • Menu Planning
    • Menu plan for upcoming week.
    • Check that ingredients for planned meals are in the house.
    • Make a grocery list.
    • Buy groceries.
    • Food Prep: Cut up onions, peppers and carrots, etc, for upcoming meals.
  • FlyLady: Kitchen
    • Dust top of fan.
    • Clean oven.
    • Clean microwave.
    • Clean out the refrigerator.
    • Wipe down cabinets and appliances.
    • Wash floor.
    • Clean Windows.
    • Wipe down the trash can.
    • Wipe down wall and door jambs.
  • Do weekly reflection.
  • Staple reflection papers to the planner pages.
  • Update journal.
  • Buy the rest of bridal shower gift, buy card and buy wrapping paper
  • Declutter boxes from the closet.
  • Do Hurricane Prep Inventory: Batteries, Chargers, Water,
  • Begin to think about HHP and things to do in August.
    • Work on the items on the Holiday Spruce Up list. (Revisted list and updated.)
    • Do an inventory cleaning/ general household supplies like detergent, trash bags, etc.
    • Do an inventory of party supplies like utensils, paper plates, etc
    • Do an inventory cold/flu supplies like vitamins, medicine, tissues, etc.
    • Make Christmas 2021 Spreadsheet and update from last year.
    • Make simple meal plan for the week of the festival and the following week.
    • Take a look at the tasks to be done during the first three weeks to see what can be done sooner than later.
    • Make a list of those things and set a deadline for those tasks.
    • Remember: Doing things now will be kind your future self. :)

These are vital aren't they. I have nearly finished buying my cleaning supplies for HGP.
I have a running list of supplies for Winter, Sprite, paracetamol, chest rub, tissues are always on the list for the medicine cabinet.

I need to look at the HGP and HHP and see what I want to attempt this year or maybe a combination of both. Just haven't had time. *sigh* We have company until Thursday and I start work next Tuesday and lots of appointments scattered in.

[X] Work at school
[X] Cover bookshelf (maybe mailbox)
[X] Pick up non-skid mat for under classroom rug
[ ] Pick up popcorn bags for open house
[ ] Finalize brochure handout and Meet the Teacher letter

[X] Addison PT eval
[X] Dermatology appt
[X] Mammogram
[X] Botox for migraines
[ ] Haircuts for me and Addison

[X] Return library books to both libraries
[X] Call Ortho to see about my referral/schedule appt

[ ] Plan a few of the first weeks of curriculum lessons for all subjects
[ ] Make study guides where needed or useful
[ ] Decide on taking TV to school until promethium comes in

It does not matter how much time we have it is never enough. I would wait and see how school settles before making a decision on a plan. You have only been in the house a short while so maybe it really doesn't need too much attention this year. You will have a lot on your plate with starting work so don't overload yourself.

That's a great idea. We just finished up some medicines so I have added them to the list. It's been hard finding things over the summer like dental floss and cotton balls. Rubbing alcohol just came back in the early spring. Witch hazel is still hard to find. I have a running list of things we use and pick one up when ever it is in stock.

I will say, it's very comforting to see the aisles filled with laundry and other household cleaning supplies. Some things are still missing but it's better then everything missing.

There are still many things missing here too but not as bad as it has been. It seems so hit and miss. There have been many, many weeks where I have not gotten everything on my list.

I'm so glad that I sat down to think about HHP today. Looking at the August and September calendars, I just did not put 2 and 2 together. I am setting up for a big festival in mid September. It is going to be a crazy week. I have a work function on Saturday and a school function on the Sunday. Monday will be a big work meeting with lots of follow-ups. Tuesday night I have a meeting and then Wednesday through Sunday will be set up, Festival and clean up. I will be exhausted for a few days after. It will be fun hard work but no extra time for HHP. I added some more to the list for August.

Mary, a good plan to have some freezer meals that you can rely on for those busy, busy times. Maybe have a roster in place where you get a little extra help with chores for that time so that the load can be spread a little more.
