Another month closer to the Holidays!

Aug 1st to the 8th
Saturday-Leftover Day to clean out the refrigerator
Sunday-Crispy Pork Schnitzel Sandwiches
Monday-Takoraisu (think taco stuff on rice-out of this world good)
Tuesday-Dh Golf day so Potato Skins or Take Out (May change since it's also Dh's Birthday)
Wednesday-Lobster something (My Birthday so my favorite)
Thursday-Rosa Verde with Chicken
Friday-BBQ Shrimp and a salad with French bread
Saturday-Another Leftover Day of course

Aug 9th to the 15th
Sunday-Chicken Apple Bacon Sliders with a green salad or potato salad
Monday-Annie's Sonoran Hot Dogs
Tuesday-Dh Golf day so Potato Skins or Take out
Wednesday-Smothered Mushroom Burgers with Broccoli Slaw
Thursday-Grilled Stuffed Zucchini (an all in one meal, no sides needed)
Friday-Grilled Fish with Sweet and Spicy Noodles
Saturday-Leftover Day

I am putting together four weeks of menus at a time now. These are week 3 and 4 of what I have in right now. It certainly doesn't take any longer to do this. I check my freezer for what I have and then comb over my recipe books pulling out meals using my guidelines. I plan on adding in more salads and veggies this month so the guidelines might be changing. I keep the recipes in a notebook sectioned into the days of the week. If there isn't any fresh Zucchini one week I can always just pull out a different recipe. So much easier with less thinking.

Monday is usually some type of Mexican
Tuesday for now is Dh golf day so DD and I get our choice of a dinner
Wednesday Is up for grabs or a chicken recipe
Thursday is geared toward pasta if we haven't had it a few times in the week
Friday is fish or seafood
Saturday is leftover but I do not hold fast to this. Depends on what we have going on.
Sunday I think of as Sandwich day but again I do not have to if I have some else in mind

Takoraisu recipe here. I never put in the soy sauce. Mainly because I tend to forget. Still excellent with or without the soy sauce. Sometimes I add beans and/or green chiles.

Monday - Macaroni with veggie-meat sauce
Tuesday - Chicken pot pie
Wednesday - Pork tenderloin in crockpot (will be shredded) in bbq sauce with potatoes... I want leftover to make poutine with some of this in it.

Rest of the week will need figuring out as dh is still on vacation... I think he'll be in charge of finding what to eat ;) we do have sausages, ribs, chicken burgers, etc... in the freezer.

The part to repair my stove may take 2-3 weeks to come in...will have to rethink menus. A lot of cooking on the outside grill and the toaster oven.
