I LOVE the book edition "Brambly Hedge" written by Jill Barklem. There is one book for each season, my favourite is winter :-D :

The pictures in these books are very, very detailled and you never get bored looking at it. You will always find new details! And the stories are sooo cute!

I LOVE the illustrations in these books!! We received a spring story second hand and I kept it just for the pictures!

I love Brambly Hedge too! Somewhat reminiscent of Beatrix Potter.

I can't thank you enough for this post! When my kids were young we rented a couple of these from the library. At that time they were only available for libraries in the United States. I have been recently thinking about these books to see if I could find them online but I couldn't remember the name. Now I am definitely ordering a couple of them! I remember that the illustrations were just adorable!

I have not read these books, but after following the link and reading about them, I'd really like to purchase these.

I have a girlfriend who is due in December. I am in the process of looking for/collecting items to place in her basket and I think these books would be a wonderful addition.

soooo cute .. I ordered the winter and autumn story at out local bookshop...
I´m always displaying a special christmas book in my living room and the year it´ll be brambly hedge...
