Arkansas-Go Razorbacks! Whoo Pig Sooie!
Re: Homemade marshmallows

I haven't made them, but Ina Garten on the Food Network (The Barefoot Contessa) made vanilla marshmallows on one of her shows..they looked so good, and I'm not a big marshmallow fan. I think they would be so good in S'Mores.

Re: Using Easter Candy

The pie sounds great! I just used some of the leftover jelly beans for cookies called Jelly Bean Bites from brightideas.com. I have the recipe on my blog at catholicmomof2.blogspot.com

Re: Okay Oreo Cookie Ball fans....

I wasn't able to find the recipe either using the search function, but I found the recipe among my papers here in the house. These are DEADLY ADDICTING. ::eek:rnament:

I never made them until Valentine's Day this year after seeing everyone RAVE about them.

Oreo Truffles

• 1 pkg. OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, finely crushed, divided
• 1 8 oz. brick Cream Cheese, softened
• 2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted

MIX 3 cups of the cookie crumbs and the cream cheese until well blended.
Shape into 42 (1-inch) balls.

DIP balls in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet.
(Any leftover melted chocolate can be stored in tightly covered container at
room temperature and saved for another use.) Sprinkle with remaining cookie
crumbs.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Store any leftover truffles in tightly
covered container in refrigerator.

Re: Okay Oreo Cookie Ball fans....

Thanks for the recipe. I've read so many posts that talked about these, but never saw a recipe.

They sound VERY addicting to me!

Re: Okay Oreo Cookie Ball fans....

Believe me they are addictive. As I said I made them for Valentine's Day.

I would put one on a plate for my neighbor
I put one in my mouth
I put one on a place for my husband's co-workers
I put one in my mouth.
I got ready for bed
I put one in my mouth

ARRGGHHH!!!

Re: Okay Oreo Cookie Ball fans....

and to make matters worse they are great frozen. I tried to freeze them one time BEFORE coating them with chocolate and my brother ate half the bag!!!

Ever since then mine have never made it to the chocolate coating...lol !!!!

I made them for Christmas trays this year and they were the favorite for alot of people. And the oreo fudge that we have been making for several years now.

Re: Graduation caps

Oh yes, those are cute, I have two graduates this year. One from college and my last from high school. I've been trying to plan my menu, I think I'll give them a try. Thanks

Kahlua mousse from http://busycooks.about.com/od/dessertrecipe1/r/kahluamousse.htm

You can use any type of dessert liqueur in this super easy recipe. Grand Marnier or Irish Creme would be wonderful.
INGREDIENTS:
16 large marshmallows
1 cup heavy cream
3 Tbsp. Kahlua or other dessert recipes
PREPARATION:
Combine marshmallows and 1/3 cup of the cream in top of double boiler. Melt over simmering water, stirring frequently, until mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in Kahlua. Let cool at room temperature for 30-40 minutes.

When mixture is cool, whip remaining 2/3 cup heavy cream and fold into the marshmallow mixture. Pour into 9x5" loaf pan, cover well, and freeze. Serves 6
