chocolate covered peeps

I linked to this from another thread from Lana. I bought a chocolate covered peep by the Peeps maker and was dissapointed b/c it didn't have the yummy sugar coating. I have all the stuff minus the sticks (gonna look for something here) to make these this week.

I put some peeps in the freezer last year; I think DGS and I should do this. He is all for it.

Shan~you can get the sticks at a craft store (HobLob or Michael's probably). And the one you bought could have had inferior chocolate. I'm gonna melt some Nestle's milk chocolate chips for mine.

My DS#2 loves peeps. I'll bet he will love these as much if not more.

Thanks Pam I looked at a few places where I was w/ the baking stuff but they didn't have any. Need to try the craft store. The chocolate covered one I bought was made by the Peeps company. THey make them w/o the sugar. So they are closer to the marshmellow bunnies.
