Finally! I found some today. I plan to make M&M's cookies but I'm not crazy about the recipe I used last year - too dry!

Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for Christmas M&M's Cookies? I've tried the recipe from OH-gift-in-a-jar recipe but the instructions are muddled up for a cookie recipe and I wasn't satisfied with the outcome either.

Help! Please!

Sorry, I used a basic chocolate chip recipe (but it is GF) and just replaced the chips with M&M's

I have not made them in a few years - too much sugar for my middle son. I just buy the M&M's now and add two for buttons to his gingerbread men :)

Good luck!

In front of my computer
found this online:

M&M Cookies (said to be 25 yrs old)

1 cup Crisco (vegetable shortening)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon water
2 eggs
2 cups + 4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups M&M plain candies
Blend Crisco and sugars. Beat in vanilla, water, and eggs. Sift remaining
dry ingredients together and add to the sugar and egg mixture. Mix well.
Stir in M&Ms. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375
degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. For additional color,
press extra M&Ms into cookies before baking. Makes 6 dozen 2 1/2 inch
cookies

I have one that I use that makes huge, soft cookies (they look like what you would get at the cookie store in the mall). I'll try to find it and get it posted.

I make my M&M cookies using the original Toll House Chocolate Chip cookie recipe, and I swap out the chocolate chips for the m&m's. Hope this helps!

These are called Polka Dot Cookies and I found the recipe on Tasty Kitchen.

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup shortening
2 tsps. vanilla extract
2 whole eggs
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsps. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 cups M&Ms

Heat oven to 350*F. In a large bowl, beat sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla, and eggs with an electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with a spoon, until well blended. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in candies.

Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls about 3 inches apart onto an ungreased large cookie sheet. Bake for 12-16 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool for 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
