Do you have any specific Christmas items you collect?
I'm considering starting a collection (outside the tree decorations), as I thought it might be fun.
I keep gravitating towards oldish Santa ornaments; the ones that look a bit like garden gnomes. Someone is selling a few beaten up ones on eBay and I'm tempted to rescue them!

Lately I have been gravitating towards red and green decorations and lights. In the past couple of years we bought red and green lights to line the roof and porch of the house, found a set of red and green lights for inside the house and found a green, red, white tree skirt on clearance last year. I like collecting Santas and snowman (snowman I keep out all winter)

I love the red and green look. It's timeless

I have a collection of Christmas angels. My DM collected them, and DH started my collection when we were first engaged. Each Christmas he'd gift me one and I'd write the year on the bottom. After he passed, DD and DSIL continued gifting me. DSIL also started a collection for DD after hearing about my collection from DH.

Nativities and mice. I have nativity set my mom bought at a estate auction when I was about 5. It is in the living year round. The rest stay in the curio cabinets. I love mice and have several nativity sets that are mice.

I have a small collection of snowmen. About 10 or so that I put out every year. Besides that I do not collect any thing specific.

Lori, I love your angels. The very tall one in the middle back with the gray wings is very similar to one that I have here.

I don't collect Christmas. I have, since I was young (and a tall girl), collected all things GIRAFFE! :D
I just got a giraffe shirt this past weekend at a thrift shop!!

Thanks for all your replies, and sorry I'm so late getting back; I posted then got caught up in work.
The collections sound/look really nice. Santa is popular ;)
@halimer - you have a pig themed tree?? Now that's interesting! (And I'm feeling inspired to test out a dog themed tree now)
@frostythesnowman - that film is DH's fave Christmas films. I'd never looked for ornaments before. Have you seen Father Christmas and The Snow dog?
