I had a CIJ dinner on Sunday night. I was cold here and a perfect evening for it.
I invited my family and my mum and brother.
The menu was
Roast chicken, roast sweet potato, pumpkin and potato. Peas, beans and corn. Yorkshire pudding, gravy and dinner rolls.
We had an ice cream pie from the Gooseberry Patch cookbook which was delicious, chocolate bark and meringues for dessert.
My mum bought a fruit and cheese plate but we were all too full to eat any of it.
Drinks were, hot apple cider, mulled wine, hot chocolate/coffee and pink lemonade.
There were gifts for the guests (DVD's), and also gift bags to take home. These had chocolates, scratch tickets, noise makers, tic tacs, balloons and little toys in them.

I did not do too much decorating , but the table was set with a white cloth, our best china, green napkins and the gift bags were red. We had a ginger bread scented candle in a hurricaine holder in the center of the table.
Christmas music was on the stereo, and it was a really nice evening.

I hope that everyone had a nice night.

We just had a simple dinner for just our little family. Not everyone else in the family is as big about Christmas as I am.

Made:
Turkey breast in crockpot
Stuffing
corn
dinner rolls
cranberry sauce

Chocolate/banana cream pie
Peach Crumb pie with vanilla bean ice cream.

Wanted to make a pumpkin pie but NO one had any canned pumpkin.
