Oh oh I have a pan to try this on right now. I'll try to remember to post back.

I've always just used Automatic dishwasher soap instead of dryer sheets. Works like magic.

I think it is the oil/softening agent/fat in the dryer sheets that do it?

Ok, have had the pan soaking with new dryer sheets. No results so far. I'll check again in the morning.

Soaked the pans over night and until just a few minutes ago. Nothing. I used two new dryer sheets. Didn't help at all. Automatic dishwasher soap works far better.

To remove really bakes on or stuck on food I make a paste of baking soda, and cream of tartar and vingar. Apply to the pan let sit for 30 minutes to an hour. In most cases the food will just wipe off.

I do the vinegar and baking soda as a scrub if I can't get something off.

I keep a roll of those cheap papery cloths....I think they're called J-cloths or jaycloths....anyways....if I cook something that tends to cause stuck on crud, I put one on top of the pan in question and pour some boiling water on top to let it sit. Prevents anything from really adhering. Saves a lot of time scrubbing in the long run. No rush to get to the dishes if you have company, and the cloths can be washed and reused.

I saw on pinterest where they used baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Looked like it worked really good, but I haven't tried it yet.
