My MIL (gone now 11 yr) used to make us all houseshoes for Christmas....my boys were not very impressed at the time. Somehow she always knew how much bigger their feet had grown from one year to the next.

BUT I don't know how she made. And Son2 said recently while he didn't like so much as a kid, he'd like to have a pair now :-0 I doubt they were overly difficult. If I remember correctly, a sole, sides and a top. Can't remember if the sides were 1 or 2 pieces. She used double knit (popular then) or cotton blend.

If this sounds remotely familiar to any of you, would you send a pm or just post here? I'd appreciate it. TIA

I have never made any but have seen patterns where you use fleece and measure feet and then make like a bootie with elastic around the ankle or something like that. Always thought I would do my 2 nieces and nephew a pair and never have.
