Good Morning and Welcome to another week!

You ladies are GREAT and really making progress! I DO ENVY YOU! Some day I shall get back to it! I use to craft all the time and sew stuff but not in last 1 1/2 to 2 years. Just get the basics done for swaps and such. When I get my room back and bring everything back in from the garage and set up (not looking forward to unpacking ALL those totes) then I will have room. Will be a good time to declutter all the stuff I don't think I will need.

Love hearing and seeing all the pictures of what people do.

So.....what are you up to this week?

Have a GREAT crafting week!!!!!

I want to start on my crochet gift-ornament for friends for next Christmas. One more thing I wanted to do for Christmas but just don't have the fabric so it'll be next year.

Thanks Lana. Hope you get your crafting space set up again soon. It can be very inspiring!

Lucie ~ You can still buy Christmas fabric at most locations.

I will finish the March CCS owl this week and move along to a couple of small CCS motifs for Mother's Day cards. I also got a start on some fur pillows for Julia, but need to re-visit the size with DD. She requested 18" pillows, but only bought 18" of fur, so the pillows will have to be smaller. I hope to do some sewing on the owls; and will definitely do some knitting on the afghan and maybe the prayer shawl WIPs.

Oh yes!, Christmas fabric is pretty much everywhere. Some places have it marked down since out of season and I noticed a few places doing some pre ordering. ( there was plenty at the sewing expo).
Not much crafting here this past week. I stayed pretty close to Myron. I did do some cooking though.
Husband encouraged me to order the pattern for the quilt I've been trying to work out, so I did. Of course I couldn't order just one pattern. In the mean time I have some other projects to play with since Myron is doing better, until it arrives.

Fabricland here pulls their Christmas fabric at the end of January and will pull them back out end of September. Thankfully in the next town over a store that carries a little bit of everything has a good fabric section and that keep their Christmas fabrics out all year.

Been hit with a head cold so just taking it easy today. Would like to knit on my sweater and get a couple skirts cut out this week.

Greetings!

I've got my mojo going for a quilt for Valentin. Haven't had inspiration till I went to Ben Franklin yesterday and found some darling fabric and rounded up coordinating fabrics, came home and searched out a quilt design (free download) and figured out how to make it with 4 fabrics rather than the 3 it called for. Ready to go as soon as I clear the deck in the studio. Need to finish up some pillow shams as well as the fur pillows for Julia first.

In front of my computer
I can't even remember the last time I was in a Ben Franklins. K-Mart closed about 20 years ago. I didn't mind because K-Mart was the place I bought a TV with a porn VCR in it. Mind you I didn't know about the VCR when I picked it out. lol

Finished another felt Meade notebook cover!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/135134547@N04/47622065481/in/dateposted-public/

Working on the next one! Also got a small start on felt hot water bottle cover. And on the final teacher themed felt notebook cover.

Need to figure something out quickly for small Easter themed teacher/aide gifts! Yipe!

And bad news :( Closed the door my DIY Easter wreath was hanging on and the loop gave way. The wreath broke into 3 pieces when it hit the ground! I didn't know Styrofoam could break like that! I'm just sick! Intend to purchase a new wreath form, wrap it - and transfer the decorative items - what a pain!!!

AJ so sorry to hear about your wreath .
I have a little door sign with a rabbit that says happy Easter. Hung it up on the inside of my front door as we have been having quite a few windy days but think it’s time to put it on the outside. Will just have to watch that it doesn’t blow off the door.

AJ ~ The notebook cover is wonderful! Is that hand embroidery? I wouldn't have thought a wreath like that would break in a fall. Glad you can salvage the cute parts to reassemble on a fresh wreath. It's so cute!

I got the quilt blocks pieced yesterday for Valentin's quilt and hope to get them sewn together today. I'm going to try the 3-pin method of assembly.

Rose, I have the head cold thing going on too. No crafting here either. My quilt patterns should come tomorrow. I stopped at Joanne’s today and bought fabric for a jacket and skirt (which I don’t need) but I fell in love with the fabric. Another thing added to my list to make......

I've got half of an angel wing crocheted. Once the 1st one is done it'll go quicker but I'm deep spring-cleaning so less time to craft.
AJ beautiful book cover. Didn't know those wreaths could break like that either.
Diedra… well, that dvr must have been a surprise ;)

Thanks to all! :)

DJ - Yes that is just a very simple stitch of hand embroidery done over and over again...simple but effective! :)

Continued work on next felt notebook cover some yesterday - mostly while sitting in drive thrus - lol

But something is better than nothing!

Valentin's quilt is ready for the final borders. I'll have to check my stash of batting in case I need to get some and go shopping for some minky-ish fabric for the backing, I think I have enough of the fabric I want for the binding.

I have one more CCS motif for a Mother's Day card completed, one to go.

AJ, sorry about the wreath.

Never glued the few eggs back onto my wreath so I think the spring wreath will just go up today.

I felt lousy this week also. Was at doctor a week ago today, called in Monday and was just tired and yucky till about Thurs..

We did the little bunnies for Teigans classmates. Just using a 30mm wooden bead and you paint or use markers to make face and then fill a luncheon napkin with about 9 chocolate eggs in it and you twist and pull up thru the beads to make rabbit ears. Allen had to drill the hole alittle bigger and I wish the napkins were alittle more danity--smaller designs but couldn't find any.

I also did a candy dish. Using like a 7 or 7.5" clear glass saucer and then these little rabbits that you take off the pick (blue, pink and purple), and small eggs that you pull the ribbon out and you glue them around the saucer alternating a rabbit and egg. Then the lady showed that she got 2 bowls in a pack that were plastic but I couldn't find them so I just got a glass that fit in the middle and around the bowl top you use the little jewel dots. I thought the dots would be put on one by one but they were in a strip of 10 to 15 maybe and they go around the very top of bowl. Kinda cute and very fast. For all the candy I have should do a BIG one. All from Dollar Tree so maybe $4.50 for the cost.

Not much but felt good doing alittle!
